What Are You Reading? (514)

Casee: My reading over the last week has been subpar to say the least. I’m still reading Vendetta Road by Christine Feehan. I am almost done. I’m thinking of rereading Bound Together after I finish Vendetta Road.

I’m also listening to The Fight for Forever by Meghan March. This is the final book in her Legend Trilogy. It’s an easy listen. I’m enjoying it so far.

Holly: I finished Beauty and the Clockwork Beast, which I really enjoyed, then read the second book, Kiss of the Spindle. It didn’t work quite as well as book one did for me, but I still enjoyed it. I’m currently about halfway through Getting Schooled by Christina C. Jones. It’s fun so far. I look forward to finishing it this evening. I’m not sure what I’m going to read next.

Rowena: This week, I finished The Kissing Game by Marie Harte and hmm, I didn’t really enjoy that one. There were moments when I thought that things would pick up but nah. It wasn’t for me. I also read The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa and while I did enjoy it (a lot more than the Marie Harte), it wasn’t a favorite either. There were times that I felt the story kind of lagged but I’m glad that I finished it. Now, I’m reading Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas and already, I’m enjoying it heaps. I can’t wait to finish it tonight. After this, I’ll be jumping into Yes No Maybe So by Becky Albertalli and Aisha Saeed.

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

I read Eve Dangerfield’s NOT YOUR SHOE SIZE, a sequel to her DD/lg classic, ACT YOUR AGE. Sadly, in the acknowledgements, Dangerfield says this will be her last romance and the last book she will publish under the Eve Dangerfield name; she plans to start writing in a different genre under a different name. NOT YOUR SHOE SIZE was fine, but I wish Dangerfield had used her final romance book to finish her Silver Daughters series: she wrote SO WILD and SO STEADY, but I guess we’ll never know what happens to the youngest sister.

    Since last time ~

    — Dear Data by Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec was a book that is quite unlike any other book I’ve read; it’s very visually rich. I enjoyed it.
    — Strange Love: An Alien Abduction romance by Ann Aguirre which I found quite unlike other books I’ve read by the author. It was entertaining; after all, who can resist a talking dog?
    — the contemporary romance The Inside Track: A License to Love Novel by Tamsen Parker which I quite enjoyed. The hero has ADD and the heroine is agoraphobic; the point of view alternates from chapter to chapter.
