I’ve had a bunch of time to read lately what with vacation & my husband being out of town. I was on a paranormal kick for awhile there. I read a lot of Katie Reus. Like a lot. I read Ancient Sentinel (Ancients Rising #7), Alpha Instinct (Moon Shifter #1) & Primal Possession (Moon Shifter #2). I was pretty disappointed with Ancient Sentinel because it was so short. I really didn’t feel like it packed as much of an emotional punch as the other books in the series. After I finished those three, I decided to go back to contemporaries. Last night I finished Pretend You’re Mine (Benevolence #1) by Lucy Score. You guys, I loved this book. Like loved it, loved it. I just adored Harper & Luke was so tortured that it made for an almost-perfect read. Next up is Finally Mine (Benevolence #2).
I haven’t had very much time to listen to audiobooks right now, but I still have Things We Hide From the Light (Knockemout #2) that I’m trying to listen to. I just love Lucy Score.

It’s been a crazy month at work and I haven’t had a lot of time to read. Let’s hope April is better. Since last time I re-read Castle Hill and Down London Road by Samantha Young, as well as The Wedding by Julie Garwood. Re-reads are always easier for me when I don’t have a lot of reading time.
For new reads, I read A Dead and Stormy Night by Steffanie Holmes, the first book in the Nevermore Bookshop Mystery series. I really enjoyed the writing and the story. I’m looking forward to the next book. I read the final book in the Gate of Myth and Powers trilogy, The King’s Queen by K.M. Shea. Honestly, I was a little disappointed. Shea has a habit of saving all the action until the last 1/4 of the book, which made for a rather dry reading experience. I still enjoyed the overall story, but I wish it had moved a little faster.
I’m currently reading Guardian of Chaos by Michelle Manus, book 1 of the Nyx Fortuna series. So far I’m enjoying it, but I’m still pretty early into it.
