Rowena: The last time that we did a WAYR post, I talked about getting laid off and having a lot of time to read. So much has happened since then. My time with one job ended on Friday and then I started a new job the following Monday. Since then, I’ve been trying to get comfortable in this new position and get used to waking up earlier and everything else that comes with life changes.

In the last week, I’ve been trying to just absorb everything that I’m learning about this new company and I’ve been pretty busy during the day that by the time I leave work, I’m pretty beat. I come home, do the bare minimum of what I need to do and then fall into a deep slumber until the next day. And then I do it all over again so I haven’t done ANY reading.

I’m still reading Promise Me This by Christina Lee but I will finish it this weekend. I just know it.

Holly: This week was a crazy week for me. My mom is still recovering from surgery, so I’ve been spending a lot of time with her, which is why I’m delayed in adding my bit to this post this week. Plus, all of a sudden the kids have a ton of school stuff going on. I didn’t get a lot read, but the books I read were pretty good.

I re-read Heartmate by Robin D. Owens after reading Heart Fire, the upcoming release. Both were great. I’m so glad she’s still doing this series. For those of you who haven’t tried it, you must. The world is wonderful.

Knock Out by Mallery Malone is part of The Billionaire Club. The heroine is a professional boxer, which I loved. It’s novella length, but I thought the story was pretty well done.

Make-Believe Wedding by Sarah Mayberry features one of my favorite themes: sister + older brother’s best friend. Plus, the heroine is an electrician, often hangs with the guys and is tall and skinny. It was wonderful. I smiled my whole way through the book.

Finally, I re-read Wrecked by Shiloh Walker, so I can read book 2, Razed (which I’ve been anticipating for-ev-er).

What are you reading? Anything good?

    • I am pretty lucky that I wasn’t unemployed at all and that I landed such an awesome new job. I really like the work that I’m doing and the people that I work with.
