I’ve finished two books this week. I’ve only read two books this entire month, which is really disappointing. I read Come to Me Quietly by A.L. Jackson which is the first book in her Closer to You series. I’m now reading Come to Me Softly, the second book. The story between the main characters is beautiful. I don’t know what took me so long to read this series.
Nada on audiobooks.

I did a lot of re-reading this week, mostly because I listened to some favorites on audio during my commute/while doing activities. I finished The Secret by Julie Garwood, then listened to Saving Grace and The Wedding. I also listened to Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, which I hadn’t read/listened to in years. I love that book.
I finally finished When He’s An Alpha by Suzanne Wright. It took me most of the week to read it. I liked the romance, but the rest of the book was kind of boring. I also read Stone-Cold Fox by Hailey Edwards, which I really enjoyed. I’m looking forward to more books in that series. I read The Switch by Beth O’Leary for my book club. I liked it, but not as much as The Flatshare.
I’m not sure what I’m going to read/listen to next.

I didn’t finish any books this week but I am reading something right now. My book squad meets once a month on zoom to catch up and this month we’re reading and discussing The Switch by Beth O’Leary so that is what I’m reading right now. I’m hoping to be finished with the book before our meeting on Sunday so that’s my plan for the rest of this week. I’m enjoying what I’m reading so far so I’m hopeful that I’ll like the rest of the book.
I didn’t know CD Reiss had started a new series, but MAFIA BRIDE, the first book in her DiLustro Arrangement Trilogy, was released on March 16. I’m reading it now—it’s a mafia romance (obviously!) with a forced marriage between the nursing student heroine and the mafia boss hero. Reiss always brings something fresh and interesting to romance tropes so I’m looking forward to see how she turns the “mafia marriage” trope on its head.
I’m reading The Good Sister.
Since last week ~
— read with pleasure two fan fiction pieces for a favorite series (Lyn Gala’s Claimings series). I obtained them from Archive of Our Own: Deviations and Revelations, both by allonym.
— Healing Glass: A Gifted Guilds Novel by Jackie Keswick which I enjoyed.
— I read Once Upon A Haunted Moor (The Tyack & Frayne Mysteries Book 1) and then the next six books in the series. I enjoyed them all.
— and a slew of book samples.
