I’m reading a really amazing book called Fighting For Us (Bailey Brothers #2) by Claire Kinglsey. It’s a very emotional book & is very well written.

I’m still listening to Saving Grace by Julie Garwood.

I’m reading (and listening to) the Hall of Blood and Mercy series by K.M. Shea this week. I finished the first two books, Magic Forged and Magic Redeemed and I’m about halfway through the third, Magic Unleashed. I’m liking the series and the narrators. I’ve read other books set in this world and enjoyed them as well.

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

@Casee: so glad you’re enjoying FIGHTING FOR US. It’s such a good book about adjusting expectations when life throws you curveballs.

I’m reading HITTING THE WALL (freebie download) by Cate C. Wells. I loved Wells’s THE TYRANT ALPHA’S REJECTED MATE—it was one of my favorite books of 2021–and HITTING THE WALL is starting out in an equally good way: a single mom returns to the town where her child’s father is a deputy sheriff. There were mitigating circumstances when the heroine discovered she was pregnant and the hero never knew he had a child. It’s also an excellent look at class differences and wealth & poverty in a small southern town.

I enjoyed Hitting the Wall after liking THE TYRANT ALPHA’S REJECTED MATE on your recommendation, @DDD. Should you read the newly released sequel, I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts.

@Kareni: I’m reading it (AGAINST A WALL) right now. It’s good—not as angsty or quite as class-conscious as AGAINST THE WALL—and very humorous, although with serious events thrown in.

    Over the past week ~

    — the contemporary romance Sure Shot: A Hockey Romance by Sarina Bowen which I enjoyed.
    — reread portions of The Bridge Ladies: A Memoir by Betsy Lerner for my local book group. I’d discussed the book with my distant book group earlier in the month. It was interesting to see how the different groups felt about the book; several attendees loved it.
    — another reread of Stray (Touchstone Book 1) by Andrea K. Höst; I enjoyed it once again. The book is FREE to Kindle readers.
    — and numerous Kindle book samples.
