I’ve been reading Jessica Gadziala non-stop for the last couple of months. I decided to head back to The Henchmen MC series. I finished Renny last night & am starting Lazarus. Or I might start Darkest Heart by Juliette Cross. I haven’t been much into paranormal lately so I’m not sure yet.
I’m still listening to Eternal by Lisa Scottoline for book club. I’m about 40% through & it’s definitely getting more interesting. But it’s so effing sad.

I spent the last week reading The Sarazen Saga by Isabel Wroth, a sci-fi series. Sarazen’s Claim is the first book, and the next three books Sarazen’s Vengeance, Sarazen’s Betrayal and Sarazen’s Hunt parallel it (i.e., they all start in the same place, then veer off in different directions). From there, Sarazen’s Fury and Blood and Venom go in different directions but are connected. There were some really dark themes and some problematic areas, but I enjoyed the series as a whole and look forward to more books in the future.
I listened to Lady Derring Takes a Lover by Julie Anne Long for my book club, and then listened to Wildfire by Ilona Andrews as something to fill the time while I was unable to read.
I’m not sure what I’m going to read next. I can’t decide what I’m in the mood for. I may pick up Last Guard by Nalini Singh.

This week, I tried reading Angel in a Devils Arms by Julie Anne Long but it was slow going because I’m not in the mood for another historical so I kept putting it down. I finally tried starting another book to see if I can boot my ass out of an oncoming reading slump and so far, it seems to be working. I’m almost done with The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas and I should be finishing it up within the next day or two. I won’t be reading anything this weekend since my sisters and the rest of my lady family will be in town for a bridal shower so I’ll be finishing this one up on Monday or Tuesday. Wish me luck!
I just finished Murder at Sunrise Lake by Christine Feehan and really enjoyed it
I’m starting a new book tonight. The Seven Day Switch by Kelly Harms. I hope it’s a good one.
I just started TWISTED GAMES by new-to-me author Ana Huang. Although the title makes it sound like dark romance, it’s actually a bodyguard romance—and the client is a princess. The thing I’m really liking so far is how mature both MCs are. He has a job to do and he has to remain hyper vigilant at all times. She’s been raised in a goldfish bowl and knows her every public move is monitored and dissected. So even though there’s attraction between them, it’s unspoken—and, so far, the couple has remained completely professional. But the slowest burn heats the hottest!
I finally finished the anthology Hello Rogue – like so many anthologies some parts were really good, others needed massive editing. I also finished Amalie Howard’s The Princess Stakes – absolutely loved it! I also loved Penny Reid’s Totally Folked and started Vanessa Kelly’s The Highlander’s Irish Bride and I am loving it too.
Over the past week ~
— Meet Me in Another Life: A Novel by Catriona Silvey; this was definitely an intriguing story that surprised me.
— reread Royally Screwed (The Royally Series Book 1) by Emma Chase; this happened to be a reread of convenience rather than design.
— Leonard (My Life as a Cat) by Carlie Sorosiak; this was a charming science fiction book intended for children which I liked (despite being well over the target age range).
— Dragonhaven by Robin McKinley. I enjoyed this fantasy.
