WAYR-New

Casee: I’m reading. I’m actually reading a book. Thank you, Brenda Novak. I’m reading Hello Again by Brenda Novak. It’s the second book in her Hanover House series. This series keeps me on the edge of my seat and I love that about this series. I’m just happy to be reading again.

Holly: I read some contemporary roms this week. I guess I’m finally finished with my ConRom hiatus. I read Sustained by Emma Chase, which was amazing! Rowena recommended it and she was so right, I loved that book. Then I read Sidebarred, the follow up novella featuring the same family. So.Freaking.Good. I reread Stay by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy and The Promise by Kristen Ashley.

I think I’m going to read Dream On by Stacey Keith next.

Rowena: It’s been a quiet week for me at home so I did manage to get some reading done. I read Played by Jen Frederic and that was a good read. It wasn’t my favorite book in the series but Ty and Ara were lovely characters and it was good to see everyone else again. I’m curious who is next in that series. I wouldn’t mind reading Nichole and Remy’s story.

After that book, I read Holiday Wishes by Jill Shalvis and that was another sweet romance. Sean was everything I hoped he would be when we first met him in Fin and Pru’s book. Now I’m reading A Duke in Shining Armor by Loretta Chase and so far, it’s great! No complaints here.

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

Yay, Casee, I’m happy that you are reading again!

    Some recent reads here ~

    — To Siri with Love: A Mother, her Autistic Son, and the Kindness of Machines by Judith Newman. This was a quick read which raised some interesting questions while also being enjoyable and touching.
    — The Mountain Between Us by Charles Martin which I enjoyed. I heard mention that a movie was going to be made of this story and thought I might like to see it; however, it appears that the movie is being panned.
    — Marie Lu’s Warcross was an enjoyable young adult science fiction read; it ended with an unexpected revelation and definitely leaves the door open for a sequel. I’ll likely read on when the next volume shows up.
    — the contemporary romance Sledgehammer (Hard To Love Book 2) by P. Dangelico which was a pleasant read. I don’t think that this is a book I’ll be rereading though I’ll likely read book three in the series when it’s published.
    — the male/male romance The Ghost Slept Over by Marshall Thornton which featured (surprise!) a ghost. This was not a scary book but nor was the ghost entirely benign. I enjoyed this and look forward to reading more by this author.
    — Pins and Needles by A.J. Thomas another male/male romance; this one had an element of suspense. I also look forward to reading more by this author.
