Holly: This week seemed to drag on and on, and yet I can’t believe it’s Friday already. It’s soccer season here at Casa de Holly, so that’s pretty much my life at the moment. We had 3 games this week alone, and of course we have to drive a minimum of an hour one way for each. Which means I’ve had zero reading time. I’ve reread a few favorites, but I haven’t had time for anything else. I plan to curl up this afternoon and do nothing but read, though. I need some downtime.
Rowena: This week I read To Love and To Cherish by Lauren Layne and The Billionaire Next Door by Jessica Lemmon. I enjoyed both books and am looking forward to more from both authors and the series. Right now, I’m reading The Viscount and the Vixen by Lorraine Heath (Locke’s book, woot!) and so far, it’s good. I’m hopeful that it will continue being good. After this I have plans to read Results May Vary by Bethany Chase and then P.S. I Like You by Kasie West. They’re reward reads since I’m all caught up on my review pile. Yay me!
What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!
Looks like some great reading here!!! I am curious to hear your thoughts on Jessica Lemmon’s book, she does great work. And I just adore anything by Lorraine Heath. She is fantastic. Hope you enjoy that one.
I read Wild Embrace by Nalini Singh and I loved all the stories, except for maybe Dorian which was fine but I felt like I’d read before. I also loved A Duke to Remember by Kelly Bowen, the second in her Season for Scandal series (I also loved the first one). I liked Wickedly Powerful by Deborah Blake, it was solid and fun, but nothing really special. Right now I’m reading If I Only Had a Duke by Lenora Bell.
Books recently read ~
— I mentioned in another post that I bought, read, and enjoyed Sarina Bowen’s contemporary romance Rookie Move a day before reading here that I’d won a copy. Timing!
— Marie Force’s Fatal Frenzy; I’ve liked all of the books in the Fatal series.
— I read some 100 pages of Toni Aleo’s Blue Lines before putting it aside as it wasn’t grabbing me.
— Unsuitable by Ainslie Paton. This was an enjoyable contemporary romance. The two main characters are a businesswoman and her male nanny.
— I went on to read another book by Ainslie Paton, Damaged Goods (Sidelined Book 2), and am currently reading her White Balance.
— and I re-read a favorite novella ~ Peanut Goes to School by Thea Harrison
