Rowena: It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these and that’s our bad. We always forget. But I thought we’d get back into the swing of things this week.

I didn’t get a lot of reading done this week but I did read Here There Be Monsters by Meljean Brook that I enjoyed. I’m looking forward to digging more into the Iron Seas world. Last night, I finished reading Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh, which I really enjoyed. I’m really liking the Psy-Changeling series. Again, I could just kick myself for not sticking with this series long before now.

Now, I’m thinking I’m going to get some of my review books read so this weekend, I’m going to start The Perfect Couple by Jennifer Echols and then More than This by Jay McLean.

Holly: I still haven’t read a new book in 2015. All my reads have been re-reads.I blame Rowena for this since she decided to read some of my favorites and I felt the need to read them with her. 😉

I read Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison first. That book just doesn’t get old. Next was Here There Be Monsters and The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook. Because I couldn’t read just one. I also read Slave to Sensation, Visions of Heat and Caressed by Ice by Nalini Singh. I  plan to take a break from the series, however, so I don’t burn out on it.

I think I’m going to do one last re-read before moving on. Fall Into Me by Linda Winfree is one of my favorite books and I tend to read it at least once a year. I feel the need. Maybe after that I’ll choose a book from our January BTBO list at random.

What are you reading this week? Anything good?

    • I got a text from Holly where she basically gushes over this series and that book. I do NOT need something else to read. I’m playing catch up as it is because Holly keeps throwing different books/series to read.

  1. I’m reading my first Jayne Ann Krentz, All Night Long, and am really enjoying it. Love the dialogue between the hero and heroine, love the hero. My mom has been talking this author up to me for ages, and I don’t know why it took me so long to finally try her, but I’m definitely a fan now.

  2. Pat L.

Silver Thaw – Catherine Anderson – almost finished – loving it. Cannot wait for the rest in the series – this is the first one.

  3. Jen

Life has been majorly disrupting my reading time lately. It’s pathetic! But I’m hoping to have a little more breathing room the next few weeks. I think first up might be Laura Griffins new Tracers book.

    • Hey Jen! I hate when that happens. It seems to be the same for me. I just have so much going on this month that I haven’t had time to read nearly as much as I’d like. I’m hoping that changes because I have books to read, dammit!

I’ve been on a Kristen Ashley binge lately. I just started The Gamble. I like her books although I think she needs a better editor. Her books can ramble on for 600+ pages.

    • I really like KA’s stuff (even with the editing issues) but I don’t think anybody likes KA more than Holly and Ames. They do KA binge reading on a regular basis. I did read The Gamble and really enjoyed it.
