What Are You Reading? #DFRAT Edition (162)

wpid-wayr-big.jpgHolly: I’m on vacation this week and next. My reading time has been pretty limited. We did a roadtrip, so I should have been able to get lots of reading done in the car. Unfortunately I get super carsick, so that hasn’t happened.

I have read a couple of really great books, though. Wallbanger by Alice Clatyon was hilarious. I literally laughed out loud pretty much through the entire book. Love at High Tide by Christi Barth was a great summer read. If you’re looking for something light and sweet, I highly recommend it. I also read The Winning Season by Alison Packard. I’m kind of a sucker for sports romances and this was a good one. I really enjoyed both main characters and the baseball backdrop.

I’m not sure what I’ll pick up next. I might do a quick re-read of Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley, our July book club pick. Aside from that I’ll have to see what’s on my DFRAT shelf on my Nook.

Rowena: I’ve been reading like crazy this week.  My daughter’s out of commission on the basketball court so that’s cleared up my calendar for the week so I’ve been using that time to read all that I can.  I just finished reading You Look Different in Real Life by Jennifer Castle and am going to start Undeclared by Jen Frederick.  Who knows what I’ll pick up after that.

What are you reading?

I’ve been reading a lot of Norah Wilson lately. Saving Grace was great and I’m currently reading Protecting Paige by her.

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. It took a while for me to get into it, but I’m glad I stuck with it. I liked her other book, Shiver (I didn’t finish the series though, just read Shiver) and really loved that. I should finish tonight or tomorrow, so I’ll start Falling Into Us by Jasinda Wilder.

    • Ames read the Stiefvater books and enjoyed them so they’ve been on my list for forever. I still haven’t picked them up though. I will eventually. Happy reading!

Samhain had a July Fourth sale, and I just finished a couple of DFRAT books that I picked up there, Fix You, by Mari Carr and Who’s Your Daddy by Lauren Gallagher. Both were good.

  4. I finished Sins and Needles by Karina Halle this week. It was very good, but dark. I’ll be starting Lick by Kylie Scott this weekend.
