Forget the foreplay. For the truly committed, it’s all bite.

Willow has loved Devon and Case for as long as she can remember, but as lion shifters they will eventually find their mates. When she allows herself to be with her two lions after a drunken party, she fears she’s ruined a lifelong friendship and flees before morning.

Devon and Case have been inseparable since they could walk, but they can’t tell anyone that they are mates. The pride of shifters they belong to won’t accept a same-sex mating. There’s no way they’ll accept their love for Willow?

When a shocking revelation brings Willow’s world crashing down, she has no choice but to tell Devon and Case how she feels. Will they be able to accept what fate has thrown at them? Do they want to?

Tracy’s review of All Bite, No Growl (Out for You series) by Jenika Snow

Case, Devon and Willow have all been best friends since they were five years old. Now they’re 18 and life is changing. They are all lion shifters and can recognize their mate as early as age 16. With Case and Devon they found out really early but never told anyone. They act like best friends in public but never share their real feelings for each other.

One night after Willow had had too much alcohol at a party she spends the night at Case’s house (his parents are out of town) and wakes up in the middle of the night to get a drink. When she hears grunts and groans she investigates and finds Case and Devon making love. She knows it’s an invasion of their privacy but she’s so turned on by the two men she can’t pull herself away. The men, of course, know she’s there and soon invite her to join them. She’s been in love with the two men for years and as much as she wants to be in bed with them she knows it will change their friendship. She finally agrees and much sexin ensues. Case and Devon love her and want to be with her as well but after that night Willow feels like she’s intruding.

Willow’s family issues and Case and Devon’s decision to come out to their lion council take them away from each other. When they reunite they find that not only do they want to be together, fate wants them together as well.

This was a cute story but one that unfortunately I did have some issues with. The story itself was interesting and showed a lovely bond between the three main characters. Unfortunately, as the story was so short, we didn’t get to learn too much about any of them. With Case and Devon it was all about their being together (before Willow came into the picture) and coming out. With Willow we got to know her family a little bit but not much else. I wish we could have gotten just a touch more info on all of them.

There were also quite a few editing problems in this one and it threw me out of the story every time – especially when Case was, at one point, referred to as Sam. Crazy.

Overall a cute yet sexy short story.

Guest Review: Bodyguards of Pleasure by Melody Snow Monroe

17984088Judith’s review of Bodyguards of Pleasure (Pleasure, Montana #8) by Melody Snow Monroe

Overweight computer nerd Brooke Armstrong lives her dream of store ownership. When she witnesses a drug deal gone bad, the killer is intent on seeing her dead. Scared for her life and that of her family’s, she reluctantly accepts protection from two hot bodyguards, Gavin Kirkwood and Riley Landon.

Gavin can’t believe how much Brooke entices him. He’s drawn to her lush curves and intelligent mind. He knows she will make the perfect submissive for him and Riley.

Never in her wildest dreams did Brooke think the muscular former military man would find her attractive, but when he ties her up and demands her obedience, she’s in heaven.

Too bad the killer won’t let them revel in their passion. After a kidnapping gone wrong that ends in a do or die battle, the killer is brought to justice. How can the men convince Brooke they want her in a permanent ménage relationship?

This novel has lots of stuff in it that makes for fun sexy reading.  Throw in some BDSM and its the best of all worlds.  Now it is not intended to be a textbook on any one thing, but it’s simply a fun story about a geeky, overweight lady who is totally wrapped up in her business and being responsible about serving her clients and keeping her life together the best way she can.  But as often happens to all of us, a simple occurrence can become a defining moment and one which changes the course of one’s future.  So it is with the BBW as she is placed in the care of two ex-military hunky guys because she has witnessed a murder and is now in serious danger of losing her life.

It seems that there are more and more romance novels that are featuring women who are in the size 12-14-16 size range rather than featuring the runway model skinny minnies as has been more the kind of heroine of the past.  These heroes like curvy women–they’re big men to begin with and like a woman with enough body substance to hold on to.  That the heroine has anything but a positive self-image poses a challenge for these two guys.  But by virtue of Brooke’s need to trust them with her life and her safety, she is drawn into a closer proximity to them 24/7 so that it becomes easier for them to work on helping her to become willing to allow them in her life long-term.

This is pure and simple a fun read and to make more out of it would do it a disservice.  Set in a curious little town of Pleasure, Montana, of course it is going to be a romantic fiction but still lots of entertainment quality.  I have read several works by this author and all of them are fun-filled stories, with enough substance to keep the reader mentally engaged, and yet fully aware that it is fiction.  Yet it is also containing a lesson about the romantic possibilities that are available to full-figured women who needn’t allow their curves to become a problem.  Our society has long sought to convince women that size 2 is normal.  Not so, and one has only to read the optimum weights for certain heights and one realizes that anyone who aspires to size 2 is not dealing with reality.  (IMHO)  So I can honestly say that I thought this novel preached a very good “sermon” to women to live their own lives and be willing to accept love in whatever form it comes into your life.

I give this novel a rating of 3.75 out of 5.

Will Megan play it safe, or follow her heart and become a toy for two?

Megan Washington is the perfect daughter…as long as she keeps her wild streak hidden. Only after a trip to the Le Club d’Esclavage does she give free reign to her sexually adventurous spirit.

Troy Simon and Ransom Seager need the ideal partner, and not just any submissive will do. Their third must match their passions and indulge in the roleplay both men find so arousing. With trust building and temperatures rising, will Megan’s powerful politician father destroy the growing bond between these three hearts?

Megan goes to Le Club d’Esclavage with 2 friends. She’d never been there before and knowing it’s a BDSM club she’s interested but still a little leery about what she might find inside. Walking into the club pretty much means that you have agreed to do…whatever goes on inside. Yikes! Talk about a scary prospect. But not long after arriving she sees Ransom and she sashays over to meet him and all of his fine gloriousness.Megan agrees to go with Ransom to a private room and that’s where the fun begins. There’s some tying up and there’s some extremely hot sex going on it that room…oh and there’s also Troy who has joined the party. With Troy and Simon trying to find a 3rd to their partnership they are thrilled with Megan, her natural submissiveness and her eagerness. Unfortunately Megan’s father is a Senator and he shows up to make sure Megan comes to heel.

This was a short, pleasurable read. The entire story takes place at the club, with the sexual antics of Troy, Megan and Ransom taking up most of the book. There was some conflict at the end of the story with Megan’s father but it was rapidly taken care of. I enjoyed reading about the trio getting together even though I’m not a fan of the “falling in love in 1 night” scenario. The author gave us enough of the characters personalities that you felt that even though they were claiming their love quickly that they would make it work in the end.
