“If you want hot, sexy, dangerous romance…this series is for you.” —Paranormal Haven

Janie Kayrs has known Zane almost her whole life. He was her friend in the dream world. She trusted him. But that was before he kidnapped her, spiriting her away to an isolated cabin to learn what her dreams never told her. Like how dangerous he looks. How he got on the wrong side of the negotiating table. And how much sexier he is in real life…

Zane is a battle-hardened warrior, used to command and solitude. But Janie has drawn him from the minute they met. His need for her could destroy everything he’s worked for, but the risk is too sweet not to take it. They call her the Chosen One. But when it comes down to the questions of peace or war, life or death, safety or passion, it will be Janie who makes the choice…

Love is about to start conquering…

“Paranormal romance at its best!” —Cynthia Eden

“Hot and fast from beginning to end.” —Kate Douglas on Fated

“Sizzling sex scenes and a memorable cast.” —Publishers Weekly on Claimed

Janie has been prophesied by oracles and seers and witches to change the supernatural world as everyone knows it. The Kurjans oracles have said that Janie will be the savior of their race. The demons seers have said that Janie will bring death and destruction to their race. The vampires don’t care about any of that, they just want to protect her as they have been doing since Talen rescued Cara and Janie from the Kurjans when she was four years old.

As a child, Janie built a world that she could access in her dreams. It was there that she first met Zane. As a child, he was her best friend and she his. Then their respective responsibilities start weighing on each of them and they don’t see each other for years in their dream world. By the time they see each other again, they are both adults and Janie no longer has to go to sleep into her dream world. Nor does she have to get an invitation to bring someone into her world.

The third visitor to their dream world is Kalen the Kurjan. Also known as The Butcher. Also known as the ruler of the Kurjans. It is Janie that Kalen has been prophesied to mate with and he has been waiting for her for twenty years. Going into her dreams has been a nice distraction while she was growing up, but Kalen is ready to physically take her for his own.

After decades of war between the races, the time for peace talks is finally upon them. Deep within the core of the earth, the vampires, witches, demons, and Kurjans meet. They all have demands of each other and it’s clear that peace won’t come easily. Janie is at the peace talks and it’s readily apparent that she knows her fate very well may be to die to bring peace. Then Zane walks into to the talks. In the flesh. With Suri, the ruler of the demons. The demons that tortured her uncle Jase for five years and almost killed him.

Zane has a plan and it definitely includes Janie. It also includes keeping Janie away from Kalen. Killing his once. Saving his mother and brothers from his uncle. Just little things like that. He has a few things to do, Now that the vampires know who he is, they want to kill him. Then he accidentally mates Janie and all hell breaks loose.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I adored Janie at the beginning of this series. She was such a sweetly serious little girl. Then she turned into a little brat. I guess I can understand that, but it was annoying as hell. Redemption came when she was willing to die to bring peace between the four races. In my opinion any way. I could never figure out who Zane was and was (of course) surprised that he was part demon. It was perfect.

I did end up liking this book more than I thought I would. The closure between Zane, Janie, and Kalen was perfect. I had always been fascinated by Kalen and I think what happened and all that transpired between the three of them ended in the perfect way. I still love, love, love this series.
