Rowena: It was another good reading week for me. I finished my re-read of Midnight Games by Elle Kennedy then moved on to The Friend Zone by Kristen Callihan and then did some more re-reading. I re-read The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan, Frigid by J. Lynn and then Rush Me by Allison Parr. All stories I enjoyed re-reading.
Right now, I’m reading Midnight Pursuits by Elle Kennedy. I’m really loving Ethan. I’m almost done with it and then I’m going to move on to Pucked by Helena Hunting.
Holly: I’ve had a migraine all week. I did some reading, but I’ll probably need to go back and reread since I’m only about half present at the moment.
I finished Earth Bound by Christine Feehan. I liked it, but not as much as some of the others in the series. I read Ride Steady by Kristen Ashley. It was such a good read. Then I reread Mystery Man by Ashley, just because. I also read the Friend Zone by Kristen Callihan. It was almost as good (maybe better than?) The Hook Up.
What are you reading this week? Anything good?
I’ve been reading some Linda Howard, because I, embarrassingly, have actually not read much by her before so I’ve been catching up on Scribd. I really need to read the rest of the Killer Instincts series too because I loved Midnight Action. There’s no logical reason I’ve not devoured that whole thing!
I love LH! Especially her older stuff. What books are you reading now?
I just finished Mr. Perfect and enjoyed it. And then I just started Dream Man, which I have high hopes before because tons of people have said that’s their favorite Howard book. Good stuff!
Ooh, I highly recommend finishing out the Killer Instincts series. It was a fun, action packed series that has me anxious for more. I’ve already pre-ordered the next book, Sean and Bailey’s book. Oh man, I can’t wait!
I also love LH. She’s great. I loved both Mr. Perfect and Dream Man. Dane is sexy and so is Sam. Yum. 🙂
Eh, Dream Man isn’t a favorite of mine. I mostly just wanted to stab Dane in the junk. Mr. Perfect was really good in the beginning, but it’s romance-lite compared to many of her other books. I would recommend Heart of Fire, Now You See Her, Duncan’s Bride, Midnight Rainbow, Diamond Bay, etc.
Thanks for the recs! Dream Man didn’t really grab me in the end. I mean, I enjoyed myself but I too wanted to do some kind of damage to Dane’s man bits for much of the story. I’ll have to try one of these other titles next. 🙂
I am reading some Laura Florand books. I read Turn Up the Heat, a reread of The Chocolate Rose & a newer book, Once Upon a Rose. They are all related. Laura has her own deeply romantic & sensual style.
I have several Florand books in my TBR pile, but I have yet to read them. Someday. ….
I need to add LF to my reading list too. I’ve heard good things about her but I keep getting distracted by everything else.
