Rowena: I can’t believe we’ve been doing this feature for 190 weeks.  Holy hot damn!

I think I found my reading bug that deserted me in January.  I’ve been reading non-stop all week. This thrills me to no end because I’m finally getting somewhere with my reading goals this year.  I was beginning to think that my lofty goal of 200 books read this year was not going to happen…and then I started reading again and I’m happy to say that it’s attainable again.  Yay me!

This week I read On the Fence by Kasie West, which was super cute.  I adored it and am so glad that I finally picked up a West book.  Braden and Charlie were too cute and they’re story was one that I ate up from the very first page.  After that, I read The F-It List by Julie Halpern which is a story that I ended up really liking.  It’s very sexually forward, but still a good read about a girl who found out her best friend slept with her boyfriend during her father’s funeral and then when decides to forgive her (months later), she finds out said best friend has cancer.  Lots of angst but good stuff.

I also read Better off Friends by Elizabeth Eulberg and squee It Happened One Wedding by Julie James.  I adored both books.  I think I adored Vaughn and Sidney in It Happened One Wedding just a tad bit more but both books were super good.  I just finished reading Breathe, Annie, Breathe by Miranda Kenneally so I’m thinking about what to read next.  It’s a toss up between Do or Die by Suzanne Brockmann or Never too Late by A. Destiny.  I’m sure it’ll be one of those…unless something else catches my eye.

Holly: I’m still in a funk. I read three books this week but it took me forever to get through them.

Ghost Seer is the start of a new contemporary paranormal series by Robin D. Owens about a woman who inherits a fortune from her late aunt, along with the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. It was pretty good. I look forward to the next book (which kind of sucks since this one isn’t even out yet).

Knock Out by Michelle Mannon was next. I’m kind of digging these MMA romances lately. This was pretty good as long as I don’t look at it too closely. If I think about it too hard I can come up with 100 things that bothered me. Instead I’m going to think of it as fluff and enjoy it for what it was.

New Beginnings by Brandy L. Rivers was a free download. It’s the first book in a paranormal series featuring shifters. The writing drove me crazy but the story was pretty good. I’m as yet undecided if I’ll continue on.

Thankfully I started Air Bound by Christine Feehan yesterday. This is the next book in her Sea Haven series and I am loving it. I’m about 3/4 through and I’m about to bite someone if I keep getting interrupted. Hopefully this is the beginning of a strong reading streak.

Cross your fingers for me?
