What Are You Reading? (184)

Rowena: I’m still not reading anything at all.  I only read Rome by Jay Crownover and I thought it was a good romance.  Two completely different people falling in love and dealing with their issues with each other.  I liked the way that they both had each others backs and they didn’t do completely stupid things and when they did, they owned up to it.  They were straight up with each other and the book didn’t suffer for it.  Good, solid read.  Now, I’m reading Attachments by Rainbow Rowell.  It’s a book club pick for my offline book club and so far, I’m enjoying it.  I’m hearing a lot of good things about this one so I know that I have a lot to look forward to.

Holly: I read Kristen Ashley’s Fantasyland series this week. I someone started with book 2, The Golden Dynasty. It was…not my favorite of the series. It was rather dark and quite a bit over the top. I didn’t dislike it, necessarily, but I don’t know that I’ll re-read it. Very often anyway.

I enjoyed books 3, Fantastical, and 4, Broken Dove, a bit more. The world is fun and the characters well done. It’s an angst-filled series but I admit I couldn’t put them down.

Last night I read the 1st book, Wildest Dreams. It was awful. I wanted to junk punch the hero and tell the heroine to grow a pair.

What are you reading this week?

  1. I am reading an ARC of The MacGregor’s Lady, by Grace Burrowes.

I just wanted to thank y’all for such a great blog. I don’t always comment, but I do enjoy visiting The Book Binge every day. Several of my frequent book blogs have closed this year, and it’s great knowing you gals are still here! Happy New Year.

How are you liking the Burrowes book?

Aww, thanks for reading our blog. Were still alive and kicking, and hopefully we’ll be around for many moons to come.
