What Are You Reading? (169)

Rowena: It’s a new week and I’ve been reading a bunch.  This week I read All of You by Christina Lee which is a book that I really enjoyed.  It had a virgin hero and the way that Lee portrayed the virginal hero was totally believable and I really came to love the hell out of his character.  I definitely recommend that book for fans of the New Adult genre.  My review will be forthcoming soon(ish), hopefully. =)  I also read Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler which was another fantastic book though the cover completely confused me.  The main character works in her mother’s diner and is known around town as the Cupcake Queen.  Not once that I recall did she make cookies but a cookie is what’s on the cover. Hmm.

I also read The Sum of All Kisses by Julia Quinn which was very enjoyable.  I loved the dialogue between Hugh and Sarah.  They were pretty fantastic as characters and as a couple.  I always love the Julia Quinn books I read and this was no exception.  It was a great addition to the series and I can’t wait to find out who’s book is next…and last.  Last night, I read a book that Ames recommended to me last year.  It’s taken me that long to read it but I’m so glad that I finally read it.  It’s called Playing for Keeps by R.L. Mathewson.  It was such a fun read that I read the entire thing in one sitting.  Total score!

I’ve already started a few different books.  This weekend, my plan is to finish The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski, The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton (I’m going to read that series with the sexy covers dammit) and Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines.  So yeah, I’ll be a busy beaver over the weekend.

Holly is busy today getting ready for her sister’s bridal shower.  She’s not sure what she’s going to read next.  She’s thinking a re-read by Robin D. Owens since that’s the kind of mood she’s in.

What about you guys?  What are you reading this week?

  1. Hi Rowena! I just finished Angel Sister by Ann H Garhart. It was a great book and I loved every minute of it. I am also reading Wish You Well by David Baldacci, and it too is another great find. I have a couple of ebooks that I won thru Librarything Member Givewaways that I am trying to catch up on as well as trying to grab a chapter or two of You Don’t Want To Know by Lisa Jackson – this is the book I keep in the car and try to read between my daughter’s many sport commitments and her Tech School functions. Other than that, I just finished a book I won from author Cate Baylor called A Crazy Homecoming. It was a sweet, quick story that I enjoyed as well.

    • Hey Tina! I haven’t read any of the books you mentioned in your comment but if you like them then I will definitely check them out. Especially the Lisa Jackson. I hear lots of good things about her stuff. Happy reading!

  2. I’m reading Archangel’s Consort and am very amused to see all the Eve-Roarke homage, but otherwise it’s kind of draggy. Looking forward to the next book and a new relationship.
