What Are You Reading, April 1st Edition (52)

Casee: It’s my turn to start this post or I was going to get my ass kicked by she-who-shall-not-be-named. And that is no April Fools joke. I just got back from vacation and had some good reading time. I read Lover Unleashed, which was better than I expected. I’m now reading Breaking the Rules by Suzanne Brockmann. As usual, I am annoyed with the agenda that Suz pushes through. Who knows what will be next.

Rowena: LOL, Casee! I’ve been reading a few things this week. I finished reading Invincible Summer by Hannah Moskowitz which I ended being torn about then I finished Just Like Heaven by Julia Quinn and I got Breaking the Rules by Suzanne Brockmann while I was reading JLH so now I’m reading that book. While I am annoyed with the book so far, I’m not annoyed with the same things that Casee is annoyed. Mostly it’s the characters that I’m annoyed with. I’m also reading It Happened One Season by Stephanie Laurens, Mary Balogh, Jacquie D’Alessandra and Candice Hern because I’m in the mood for a historical so I keep putting down the SB (which is surprising to me since I’ve been waiting years for Izzy’s book) to read that one.

Holly: I’m trying to read Delaney’s Shadow by Ingrid Weaver. The book is well written and I’m enjoying the story, but I’m in some kind of funk and it isn’t keeping my attention. That’s been happening to me a lot this past week. I think I’ve started and set aside 5 different books. It’s annoying. I have a busy weekend ahead of me (my husband had Lasik today, it’s my son’s birthday and my in-laws are coming to visit..omg, save me) so I doubt I’ll have much reading time. Hopefully next week will be better.

    I read Married By Morning by Lisa Kleypas and it was very good. Then after When Harry Met Molly by Kieran Kramer got 2 RITA nominations, I decided to try it. I didn’t care for the book, then I don’t like The Bachelor either. Now I’m reading Love in the Afternoon.

    I’m not reading anything real deep right now – just finished Scent of Persuasion and now reading Sounds to Die By, both by Nikki Duncan. Both interesting romantic suspense quick reads.

    I finished A Lot Like Love by Julie James last night. I plan to read the young adult book Brilliant (part of a trilogy) by Rachel Vail next.

    I am readingUnveiled by Courtney Milan and also Seven Secrets of Seduction by Anee Mallory which unfortunately I cannot get hooked into. I keep on putting it down to read other books.

    The Vampire Voss, which I won an ARC of from AAR. Also finishing up Lover Enshrined as my gym book. Don’t really like reading two paranormals at the same time, but I feel obligated to read the ARC quickly. — willaful

    Casee ~ agree about the Brockmann. Felt like I was being lectured at far too often.

    Currently reading Jaci Burton’s The Perfect Play and Tracy Cooper-Posey’s Blood Knot.
