Rowena: What a crappy week of reading for me, I didn’t read very much but I did manage to finish a few books. Right now, I’m reading Playing Hurt by Holly Schindler and I’m going to start Destiny by Carly Phillips over the weekend. I’m pretty stoked.
Holly: How is it already Friday? This week has flown by. Actually, all the weeks this year so far have flown by. There’s something about a baby that makes one forget what day of the week it is. :-/
I’m reading Karma by Carly Phillips today. It’s pretty good so far, but a sick family means I don’t have much time to read.
Casee: I am reading If You See Her by Shiloh Walker. It’s the second book in her Ash trilogy. It’s a romantic suspense series. I really enjoyed the first in the series, If You Hear Her.
I haven’t had much luck this year with reading. I’m pretty bummed because I promised myself that 2012 was going to be better than 2011.
What are you guys reading this week?
I just started The Next Best Thing by Kirstan Higgins. (Did I spell it right?!) Her next book is sort of a sequel, so I thought I should read it first. I was kind of put off by what I’ve read about it, which is why I haven’t read it already.
Nope, I sure didn’t. Sigh.
Casee, I’m also reading If You See Her–about half way through. LOVE IT!!!!
Writing a review is going to be a total bitch, though, because these books must be read in order and really, the setup for the second is all in the first (and one of the things I’m liking most is that there is very little infodump–none of that “as you know, last month…”–when talking about what happened before. Really like that!)
Just finished Overbite by Cabot and not sure what to start next. I have Middlemarch going but that’s so big I take bites of it in between others.
Casee: Sorry to hear you have bad books so far. Hope it gets better.
HOlly: yes the week flew by and I have no baby. Hope all is well.
Rowena: Hope next week is better.
I just finished Destiny by Carly Phillips. It was a bit disappointing. There were a few too many secrets to be believable and the reason for Dare’s marriage failing was weak.
I’m now reading Twice Fallen by Emma Wildes.
