Holly: I went back to reading contemporaries this week. I was on a pretty good roll with paranormals, but I kind of stalled out. I’m looking to read some good shifter books that are only about shifters. No vampires or goblins or ghouls. Any recommendations?
I read Lucky in Love by Jill Shalvis on Tuesday and Moonshell Beach by JoAnn Ross on Wednesday. Both are continuations of series I already love (Lucky Harbor for Shalvis and Shelter Bay for Ross) and neither disappointed.
Yesterday I read The Rancher and The Rock Star by Lizbeth Shelvig. I didn’t care for it at all. The characters annoyed me pretty much from page one. I almost DNF’d it, but I wanted to see if the hero grew a backbone (not really) and if the heroine apologized for being a know-it-all (nope). It did get good reviews on Goodreads, though, so it might just be me.
I’m not sure what I’ll read next. I have a pile of review books to get through, but the new Sarah Mayberry is calling my name….
What are you reading?
A sweet m/m romance called Moving in Rhythm. Also started a Diana Palmer book — Lord of the Desert? — but am not that into it.
Finishing up the last of Shannon Stacey’s series Yours to Keep. Loved this series – funny family oriented – right up there with Virgin River.

I can’t remember if you’ve tried Dani Harper’s werewolf series. The first one is Changeling Moon. I picked it up on sale a few months ago and really liked it. I haven’t read the others yet, but they are on the list. It’s all werewolves, no other supernatural creatures.
