What Are You Reading? #DFRAT Edition: Week 3 6-22-12 (113)

Rowena: I didn’t read nearly as much as I wanted to this week but I’ve been watching a lot of good TV (Community and Suits) so I haven’t minded too much. I’m going to Sea World this weekend so I probably won’t get too much reading done this weekend either but I do plan on finishing Size 12 and Ready to Rock by Meg Cabot and then moving on to Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols.

Holly: My reading has been seriously lacking, too. Both my older kids started activities and the baby all of a sudden went mobile. Needless to say, I don’t get a lot of time to sit. I did manage to read Carina Press Presents: Volume I for the Digital-First Read-a-Thon. All three stories were stellar. I highly recommend you pick it up.

I started Blade Song by Shiloh Walker, but I’ve only read about 5 pages. I’m hooked already, but who knows when I’ll find time to read.

What are you reading?

  1. I’m reading One More Summer, by Liz Flaherty, and it’s all because of a guest review (by Judith) that I read on Book Binge. I’m on Chapter 9 and my early opinion is that Judith is right–this book is pretty special.

  2. I’ll have to try One More Summer. I read Because of Joe by Liz Flaherty and it was very good. On the digital first side, I just finished Natural Evil by Thea Harrison and Wolf Line by Vivian Arend. Good reads, both of them. Moving on to Devil’s Gate next. I’m really enjoying the DFRAT blog posts.

  3. I’ve had to put aside my DFRAT reading for a bit for netGalley commitments. Reading The Marrying Kind and also Notorious Pleasures as prep for the new Hoyt. Also listening to Matched, which is very good.

I’ve had back-to-back disappointing reads: A Night Like This by JQ and Beautiful Sacrifice by Elizabeth Lowell. The former just never quite clicked, while the latter was info-heavy for the first half of the book.
