What Are You Reading? 9-7-12 (123)

Rowena: The first day of school was yesterday for my young one and I’m still in shock that I have a daughter in the eighth grade. It’s her last year of middle school and then she’s off to high school. I had her right out of high school and now she’s starting high school soon? OMG.

Anyway, I read a couple of books this week and enjoyed them. I just finished reading Blame it on Texas by Christie Craig and moved on to Copy That by Helenkay Dimon which was a quick read (but a good one) and now I’m finishing up A Lady by Midnight by Tessa Dare. I stopped reading it to catch up on some other books but I’m all into the Tessa Dare book now and am loving it. After this, I’ll pick up Butter by Erin Jade Lange. I can’t wait to read that one as I’ve been hearing some good things about it.

Holly: I’m still re-reading old Linda Howard novels. I finished After the Night and Tears of the Renegade this week. Can I just say how gut-wrenching ATN is? I’d forgotten how much trauma the heroine suffers. Or maybe I blocked it out? It’s definitely worth reading. TOTR is one of her older categories. It isn’t my favorite, but I enjoyed re-reading it.

I also read Sway and Tart by Lauren Dane, books one and two in her Delicious series, a spin-off of the Brown Siblings series (which I adore). I thought both books were well done, though I enjoyed Tart more.

My plan is to start Playing to Win by Jaci Burton next, but I’m leaving on vacation this week and won’t have a lot of time to read for the next 10 days. Hopefully I’ll be able to get it read before I go.

What are you reading this week?

  1. I am reading Wish You Were Here, but Christie Ridgway. Very good so far. I am in the middle of The Desperate Duchesses series by Eloisa James, which I am loving also(6 books in series)! I just got Nightingale Way & hope to get to it soon! Blame it on Texas is also on my list.
