I’m still binging on Dianne Duvall, Julie Garwood & Kristen Ashley. I’m currently reading Rendezvous With Yesterday by Dianne Duvall and Free by Kristen Ashley. I’m listening to The Gift by Julie Garwood.

I ended up DNF’ing Black Moon by J.D. Tyler. I just could not connect with the characters and their actions made me so angry I couldn’t continue. I read and listened to Three Mages and a Margarita by Annette Marie, a new to me author. I didn’t like the female MC, which made it hard to get through. I don’t think I’ll read another book in the series. After that I read Tiger’s Daughter by Jennifer Ashley. It was just okay. I was hoping for more from a favorite character.
I read and loved Storm Echo by Nalini Singh. This is probably my favorite Psy-Changeling/Trinity book to date.
I’m currently reading Soul Taken by Patricia Briggs.
I’m reading STRICTLY BUSINESS by Ruth Cardello. It’s the first in a duet about identical twin brothers (separated at birth and adopted by different families) who meet as adults (one’s a businessman and one’s a farmer) and temporarily trade places. Naturally, complications, especially romantic ones, arise. I like “the wrong twin” trope, but YMMV.
I’m not really reading contemporaries at the moment, but this is going on my list.
Ooh, the soon to come Patricia Briggs book! I hope you are enjoying it, Holly.

Over the past week ~
— For my distant book group: Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. This was not a difficult book, but nor is it a book I’d recommend. The heroine seemed so young and clueless; given that she was seventeen, perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised.
— South Coast (Shaman’s Tales From The Golden Age Of The Solar Clipper Book 1) by Nathan Lowell which I enjoyed. All of Nathan Lowell’s books (save for the Wizard’s Butler) are set in the same large universe; I enjoyed reading this land (rather than space) centered science fiction book.
— a very enjoyable historical romance with a unique premise: A Lady for a Duke by Alexis Hall. The leads were best friends growing up and went to Eton, college, and war together. Both were wounded in battle. One returned home grieving his believed dead friend; the other returned a year later as a woman with a new identity.
— the contemporary paranormal romance, The Heir Apparent’s Rejected Mate (The Five Packs Book 2) by Cate C. Wells. I enjoyed it, but I liked the first in the series more.
Oh! The Alexis Hall is very intriguing. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
No updates on the Briggs yet. I haven’t had any time to read, sadly.
I literally just finished Tawna Fenske’s Killer Smile the last book in her Assassins In Love series – and yes, I totally loved it. I also read Kait Nolan’s Wrapped Up With A Ranger book 2 in her Bad Boy Bakers Series – loved it as well. Read and enjoyed Caroline Linden’s The Ulitimate Epilogue: Desperately Seeking Duke the extended epilogue. I also read Meara Platt’s Dance of Love – book who knows what of number of her Book of Love series that has been very enjoyable if a bit repetitive in quoting the Book of Love that keeps getting passed from one person (couple) to another. However, TBH the lessons are ones that most people would do well to learn from. . . .
I have the Fenske series in my TBR. Thank you for reminding me.
Starting The Emma Project by Sonali Dev.
Just read the most recent chapter of Ilona Andrews’ Innkeeper serial.
I’ve been saving the serial. I better go read it before it disappears.
