After I finished Worth Any Price by Lisa Kleypas last week, I was craving more of her novels. I re-read Devil in Winter, then picked up her latest release, Devil in Disguise. I’m really glad I read DIW first, since details were fresh in my mind for DiD. I really liked Devil in Disguise. Afterward, I was still in the mood for Kleypas, so I re-read Love in the Afternoon, another favorite.
I’m currently listening to Duke in Shining Armor by Loretta Chase and re-reading Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas.

This week, I was busy with work but I did manage to get To Sir with Love by Lauren Layne read and while I enjoyed it, it wasn’t the best book that I’ve read by her. Two of my k-dramas are wrapping up their shows this week so I started reading both Devil in Disguise by Lisa Kleypas and The Siren’s Lament on the Webtoon app. I’m really into mangas and webtoons these days. I only meant to check out what The Siren’s Lament was about since my best friend said she really liked it and before I knew it, I read 20 chapters. So yeah, that’s what I’m reading right now.
Since last time ~
— Midshipman Henry Gallant in Space (The Henry Gallant Saga Book 1) by H. Peter Alesso; it was a pleasant military science fiction read, but I don’t think I’m motivated to continue the eight book series.
— True Grit: A Novel by Charles Portis for my distant book group. This is the first time I’ve read the book, and I enjoyed it.
— I don’t often read nonfiction, but I do have to admit to having a fondness for books about books. I read When Books Went to War: The Stories That Helped Us Win World War II by Molly Guptill Manning. I found the book informative and a quick read. I most enjoyed hearing how the books impacted individual servicemen.
— After hearing me mention it a time or ten, my husband read Stray (Touchstone Book 1) by Andrea K. Höst. (This book is currently FREE.) That prompted me to reread the book, too. I reread the first five books in the Touchstone series and enjoyed revisiting them all.
I’m almost finished with Caitlin Crews’s JUST ONE MORE NIGHT, which is her last release for Harlequin’s Dare line (which is being discontinued). It’s about a free-spirited woman and a former gangster who meet one night in Prague and then reconnect two years later. Crews is one of my favorite writers, but JUST ONE MORE NIGHT isn’t really grabbing me.
I am about 90 pages into Jassinda Wilder’s Lizzy Goes Brain Over Braun the first in her Billionaire Baby Club and I’m having trouble getting into it. I did finish Crazy Stupid Bromance – I loved the series! I read Janna MacGregor’s Where There’s a Will her free prequel to her newest series, I also read Jade Lee’s Lord Lucifer (Lord’s of the Masquerade Book 1) & started book 2 Lord Satyr. The best was reading Grace Burrowes’ Miss Delectable but it bridged last week and this.
