I am on vacation this weekend and looking forward to reading all the books. I’m currently reading The Protector (Fire’s Edge #4) by Abigail Owen. I’m going to finish out the series with The Traitor (Inferno Rising #4). I also have Wrong Time Wrong Place by Gillian McAllister to read for book club.

I’m listening to Archangel’s Light (Guild Hunter #14) by Nalini Singh. It’s amazing on audio. I’ve said it before, but Justine Eyre a phenomenal narrator. It’s like reading the book for the first time.

I didn’t have a lot of reading time this week. I read Forever Never by Lucy Score. I liked it, but not as much as other novels by Score. I started listening to The Duchess Hunt by Lorraine Heath, the second book in the Once Upon a Dukedom series, then downloaded the book so I could switch between reading and listening. I really love the narrator and the story was wonderful. I read a couple of non-fiction books and re-read a couple novels, but that’s all I had time for. I’m hoping for more reading time this weekend.

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

I just started two books, they’re very different but both compulsively readable: NICKY THE DRIVER by Cate C. Wells (a very dark mafia/forced marriage romance, cw/tw for a heroine with an eating disorder); and RAYNE by A. E. Via (an m/m romance between a recovering sex addict and an older man who owns a landscaping business).

    Over the past week ~

    — completed my Touchstone series reread with In Arcadia and Snow Day both by Andrea K Höst.
    — reread Paladin of Souls (Chalion Book 2) by Lois McMaster Bujold which I enjoyed revisiting. While I’ve reread The Curse of Chalion many times, this was my first reread of this book.
    — read Soul Taken (A Mercy Thompson Novel Book 13) by Patricia Briggs. While I enjoyed it, I still favor the author’s Alpha and Omega books.
    — read a number of book samples and abandoned a few books.
