I am still glomming Claire Kingsley. I’ve read about half of her backlist. Her books are immensely enjoyable, emotional, fast reads. I’m currently reading Always Will (Always #2). I can’t decide what to read next. I kind of want to reread the In Death series by J.D. Robb, but I’m not sure I’m in futuristic headspace right now. I guess we’ll see.

I’m listening to The Prize by Julie Garwood. I hardly remember this book and am really enjoying listening to it on audio.

I finished The Rogue King by Abigail Owen and read the next book in the series, The Blood King. I liked book one better than book two, but I enjoyed both enough to continue on with the series. After that I read and listened to The Lasaran by Diane Duvall, another new to me author. I had a few issues with the story, but overall I really enjoyed the world. I immediately read the next book, The Segonian, which was very good. I recommend it. I’m now reading the third book, The Purveli.

I’m going to start Miss Moriarty, I Presume? by Sherry Thomas next.

@Casee: so glad you’re enjoying Claire Kingsley. She was my favorite “discovery” last year. I’m really looking forward to the final Bailey Brothers book.

I’m currently reading Garrett Leigh’s DEVIL’S DANCE. It’s an m/m/m poly romance and the first of Leigh’s new Rebel Kings MC series. It’s very gritty with quite a lot of violence and references to past sex slavery and abuse. I’m liking the interactions of the three main characters—but Leigh really likes to put her characters through the wringer!

    Over the past week ~

    — Bel Canto by Ann Patchett which my local book group discussed. What an interesting story! Often I read my book group books as though they are assigned reading, but this proved to be quite gripping.
    — quite enjoyed the fantasy Paladin’s Strength by T. Kingfisher (a gift!); T. Kingfisher is a pseudonym used by children’s book author Ursula Vernon for her books for adults. The author has a dry wit, and I laughed a lot while reading this.
    — enjoyed the contemporary male/male romance Fair Isn’t Life by Kaje Harper.

@Holly If you want a longer series by Dianne Duvall, consider reading The Immortal Guardians series. I really enjoyed them! No, they aren’t perfect however I found them addicting.

I’ve been reading Emma Chase’s Getting Schooled, Getting Real, and Royally Screwed. I also read Loretta Chase’s Miss Wonderful and Mr Impossible. I enjoyed all of them.
