Holly: I had a pretty quiet reading week. We were busy all weekend, so the majority of my reading was done in the last couple days. I read Back to Us by Christi Barth, a reunited lovers story. Both the hero and heroine drove me a bit crazy at times, but I ended up really liking it. I re-read Falling Under by Lauren Dane as a precursor to Coming Home, the upcoming third book in the series. I love Duke and Carmella. Soul of Smoke by Caitlyn McFarland is the first in a new series about dragons. I really liked the world and the secondary characters, but both main characters made me want to bang my head against the wall. I started book two, Shadow of Flame, but set it aside a chapter or so in. I’ll probably come back to it later, but I needed some distance from my feelings about the first book.
I think I’m going to start Waking the Dragon by Juliette Cross. I’m in the mood for a good pnr. Wish me luck?
Rowena: Zero. That’s not how many f*cks I give, it’s how many books that I read this week. I’m still not in the mood to read so the only thing that I read in the last couple of weeks was Heat Exchange by Shannon Stacey. It was just okay. The hero and the heroine both drove me crazy from time to time and the story line itself was pretty ridiculous since I thought they were too damn old to have a secret relationship. What the hell was that anyway? High School? I enjoyed the other characters and the secondary romance between Danny and Ashley and I’m curious about Rick, the hero of the second book. So I will be continuing the series.
That’s actually what I plan to read next. Controlled Burn by Shannon Stacey. Wish me luck.
What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

— re-read Lorraine Heath’s historical romance Pleasures of a Notorious Gentleman.
— currently reading a mystery (not quite the norm for me) which I’m enjoying ~ The Lock Artist by Steve Hamilton
After reading and loving Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre, I had to have more of Brad DeLuca (a secondary character), so I went back and started the first book in a trilogy featuring him, Blindfolded Innocence. I whipped through that, then got the next book, Masked Innocence and I’ll be reading that (and probably the third book also) this weekend. I rarely read erotic romance any more because I’m so sick of BDSM being shoehorned into every book, but in this series, thankfully, there’s none of that.
