Holly: I’m finally reading historicals again. I read The Stolen Mackenzie Bride by Jennifer Ashley, which promoted a reread of the entire Mackenzie/McBride series. The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, Lady Isabella’s Scandalous Marriage, The Many Sins of Lord Cameron, The Duke’s Perfect Wife, The Seduction of Elliot McBride, The Wicked Deeds of Daniel Mackenzie and Rules for a Proper Governess.
Next I think I’m going to catch up on Julie Anne Long’s Pennyroyal Green series before the release of Lyon’s book at the end of this month.
Rowena: It’s a new week for new reads and I didn’t read a damn thing. I’m just not in the mood to read anything but I am making my way slowly through Tonight the Streets are Ours by Leila Sales. I’m liking what I’m reading but I’m not necessarily loving it. Not like I did Mostly Good Girls and Past Perfect. This one is a little slow going, but not slow enough to make me stop. I should finish it tonight.
Next up, I’ll be reading Finding Perfect by Kendra C. Highley.
What are you reading? Anything exciting we should know about?
I’m back to re-reading old books, mostly Nora Roberts, a couple Johanna Lindsay, a couple Linda Howard.
Reading slumps suck.
Out LOUD.
Holy cow, I’m in awe of your historical binge, Holly! I just can’t get back into them. I’ve been waiting for Lyon’s book forever, but I’m several books behind in the series now, and I know there’s no way I’ll even bother to catch up. I suspect I won’t be reading Lyon’s story for a while, because at the moment nothing historical interests me in the slightest.
I did, though, finally get around to reading Taking the Heat by Victoria Dahl and gaaahhhh, so good! It’s definitely the best book I’ve read all summer.
As far as re-reads go, I’m in the middle of Nora Roberts’ The Witness. I also re-read Patricia Briggs’ Cry Wolf..
Other books read:
— Entreat Me by Grace Draven was an enjoyable fantasy romance
