Rowena: It’s been a slow reading week month for me. I haven’t read that many books in the month and this past week, I only read one book. I read P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han. I thought it was such a cute read too so I have no idea why it took me so freaking long to read it. Well, I did finish a re-read of Sincerely, Carter by Whitney Gracia Williams so I guess that counts as two reads for the week. I adore that book. Like, so very much.
Right now, I’m reading Brown Eyed Girl by Lisa Kleypas. The heroine is low key getting on my nerves. Her past baggage and the way that she’s with Joe is making me want to punch her in the face. But I’m still liking it. 😉 After this, I’m going to read A Summer Like No Other by Elodie Nowodazkij.
Holly is busy being a serving wench for the summer, having loads of fun and making the big tips. Maybe next week we’ll catch her!
What are you reading this week? Anything good? Bad? Share!
Woo, I finally had reading time again this week! I read Sarah Morgan’s latest HP, Shannon Stacey’s Heat Exchange, and a few other short suspense titles. I started a bunch of other books too this week but they weren’t grabbing me. I’m in a weird reading mood where I need the book to grab me immediately or I just want to move on! Next week I have high hopes for Victoria Dahl’s newest, which I’ve been looking forward to for months.
Look at you go. I finished Brown Eyed Girl by Lisa Kleypas last night and am going to dig right into A Summer Like No Other by Elodie Nowodazkij. I hope it’s a good one.
I only read one this past week, Ghost Moon, by Heather Graham. I loved the first book in the trilogy, Ghost Shadow, but was very disappointed with how bad the second book was, Ghost Night. Ghost Moon fell somewhere in between the two. After I read Ghost Shadow, I began obsessively grabbing every Heather Graham book I came across, but I’m not so sure how eager I am to read more of her work.
Some books that I read this week ~
– Sarina Bowen’s The Year We Hid Away (very good)
– Flight of Magpies by K. J. Charles (also quite enjoyable)
– Mary Balogh’s historical romance Only a Promise (Survivor’s Club); I enjoyed it though it’s not my favorite book by this author.
– Elle Kennedy’s The Deal (Off-Campus). I enjoyed it.
– Elizabeth Hoyt’s historical romance Dearest Rogue (Maiden Lane); I enjoyed it.
– two contemporary western romances by Jennifer Ashley ~ Adam and Grant. (Enjoyable but not my favorites by her.)
