Holly: Rowena and I were both slammed last week, so we didn’t do a WAYR post last Friday. I’m going to put both weeks here. Not that I have a lot to report. I did some re-reading, but that’s about it.
I read Falling From the Sky by Sarina Bowen, book 2 in the Gravity series. I haven’t read the first book yet, but I really liked this one, so I plan to go back to it. I also ready Still the One by Jill Shalvis. I love the Animal Magnetism series. Can I move to Sunshine, Idaho already? I also read Thane’s Redemption by Nina Crespo, a time-traveling special agent rock star book. It was better than I expected given the premise. It needed to be longer and better fleshed out, but I enjoyed it.
Aside from those, I just did some re-reading. Own the Wind by Kristen Ashley. The Year We Fell Down and The Year We Hid Away (which still made me cry!) by Sarina Bowen. Heart of Obsidian and Shield of Winter by Nalini Singh, and Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs (for review purposes).
I started Inspire by Cora Carmack, but set it aside after a few pages. I just wasn’t in the mood. I also started Coming in from the Cold, book 1 in Sarina Bowen’s Gravity series. That’s what I’m reading now.
Rowena: Like Holly said, it’s been a pretty hectic last couple of weeks for me. My daughter’s high school basketball team made school history by being the first team to win a CIF Championship for Girls Basketball and now we’re on to playing in the State Games. They’ve advanced to the second round for State and will play that game tomorrow so I’m pretty stoked for our girls, even though my kid won’t be playing since she’s benched for a bad grade. mad face
But through it all, I’m still finding time to read. In the last week I read Rebound by Noelle August, Falling from the Sky by Sarina Bowen and I got about half way through Inspire by Cora Carmack before I threw in the towel. I’m just not in the mood for it. It looks like Holly and I are reading the same books because after I put down the Cora Carmack, I picked up Coming in From the Cold by Sarina Bowen and that’s what I’m reading right now.

I just devoured Rock Hard by Nalini Singh and I’m rereading it now. Loved!!! that book! I’m a bit disappointed by the newest A&O book, Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs. It’s missing that special Anna and Charles spark that made me fall in love with this couple. It’s not bad, it’s just not as squeeful like I thought it was going to be. I just got Coming In From the Cold (which is still on sale at Amazon for $0.99 btw) and I’m looking forward to all the feels 🙂
Well I whipped right through Trade Me by Courtney Milan (thank you very much ladies!) and now I’m also reading Coming In From the Cold LOL. Will definitely have to give Rock Hard a try. I read an excerpt and now I want!
