Rowena: I seem to have found my reading rhythm that has been missing in the last few months because this week, I read some books. I read To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han which I really enjoyed. It was a quick read and my first full length story by Han but it won’t be my last. I really liked Lara Jean and Peter and Kitty. Adorable story.

I also read The Unexpected Consequences of Love by Jill Mansell. As usual, Mansell took three different stories and linked them all together in one book and it was another book of hers that I enjoyed. My favorite storyline of the bunch was probably Riley and Tula’s story but the others were well done as well.

Now, I’m reading The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy by Julia Quinn because, how could I not? I adore her writing and was looking forward to reading this one so I’m already on it. So far, it’s great. I love Iris!

Holly: I’ve been crazy busy the last couple weeks and my reading has suffered for it. This week I read No Ifs, Ands or Bears About It by Celia Kyle and Tempted by the Pack by Anne Marsh. Both were free downloads and neither was very good. I also reread The Lion’s Lady by Garwood, Hero by Samantha Young and Fairytale Come Alive by Kristen Ashley, mostly because it’s easier for me to reread when I have little time.

The next two weeks are going to be busy, but after that I hope to have some quiet time to read.

What are you reading this week? Anything good? Bad? Let’s talk!

Interestingly, I’ve read two books this week, and neither were romances, not even paranormals with a romantic element. I can’t remember the last time that happened LOL. Both were very good. I read Take Me With You by Catherine Ryan Hyde for my book club. It’s straight LitFic, and I really related to certain elements in the story.

The second book was Nice Dragons Finish Last by Rachel Aaron, which is a paranormal featuring a 24 YO male dragon MC whose dragon mom thinks he’s too “nice” (he’s very beta) and tosses him out without any resources to try to get him to be more mean and dragon-like. The tone of this book was very similar to Hold Me Closer, Necromancer by Lish McBride, which I read awhile back and absolutely adored.
