Holly: This week I did a lot of re-reading. Nothing I had in my TBR pile jumped out at me. First, I DNF’d Last Hit by Jessic Clare and Jen Frederick around page 200. The story was boring and didn’t appeal to me at all. I might have finished it if it hadn’t been 700 pages. I finished and enjoyed Cole’s Redemption by J.D. Tyler and Fighting Love by Abby Niles. Both are part of a series, but they’re the first work’s by either author I’ve tried. I’d recommend both.
My re-reads this week were Down London Road by Samantha Young, Easy by Tammara Webber and Games of the Heart by Kristen Ashley.
I might try to read a paranormal next. I’m not sure.
What are you reading?
Right there with you–nothing new (or new to me–my TBR is humongous) appeals to me. I’ve tried a few, and I have not been able to bring myself to do more than read the back cover blurb, maybe a page or two, and then back to the TBR they go. I’m re-reading Robin D. Owens Heart Thief, hoping to write a review.
I was such a fail this week. It was on my to do list for Friday to get my part of this post up but I never got around to it.
Not that I’m reading much anyway. I haven’t read anything since I finished The Bride Says No by Cathy Maxwell. Overall, the book was good but I felt like the main romance suffered from all the page time that the heroine’s sister got. And I hated that selfish little shit, Tara. The next book in this series is Tara’s book and I’m still wondering if I’ll read it or not. I’m thinking yeah but man, I just don’t want to. Not right now, anyway.
I will be starting An Outlaw in Wonderland by Lori Austin for a buddy review with Ames on Breezing Through and I’m kind of all over the place with expectations…thanks, a lot Ames. LOL.
