Rowena: It’s been such a long week and my week is not done yet. My baby girl turns 14 this weekend. I’m still in a state of shock over that bit of news. I’ve been planning her birthday dinner all week and inviting kids and figuring out her presents and stuff because 14 is a big deal, right? Anyway, I just finished reading What Happens in Scotland by Jennifer McQuiston and I started The Best Man by Kristan Higgins…so that’s what I’m reading right now. So far, so good…
Holly: I’m doing a bit of early spring cleaning, so I’m not reading as much as I would like. A clean house is a good trade-off, though.
I read Lush by Lauren Dane. It’s part of the Delicious series, which is a spin-off of the Brown Siblings series. I love that world. Lush was well-written and I immediately fell into it. I also read Wrecked by Shiloh Walker, another well-written contemporary.
I did two re-reads. The Lion’s Lady by Julie Garwood, one of my all-time favorites. Christina, the heroine, is fabulous. She was raised by Indians in the Black Hills of South Dakota, so she’s totally unconventional. I also re-read Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh. I felt like I needed to back to the beginning of the series since my memory was hazy when I read Jason’s book. I love Elena and Raphael.

Yay! I hope ya liked Zach!
I’m still listening to Archangel’s Kiss, which is quite good for a relationship continuation. Not usually fond of those. Also started All Over You by Sarah Mayberry.
Julie James’ latest – won an arc.

I just started The Best Man, too! I may just read all night. Tomorrow is really busy with my daughter’s activities & my father’s birthday and I have been dying to read this book.
I just started Start Me Up by Victoria Dahl. So far it is really enjoyable.
The standard romance novel is about 10 hours long. I listen while I do housework, cooking, some at the gym — though I find I prefer to read when I can.
I just finished Elizabeth Hoyt’s Lord of Darkness (good) and I’m going to begin Kristan Higgins’s The Best Man today. Glad to hear you like it.
Shiloh Walker,
Oh, she did. She texted me right after she finished the book, I think it’s safe to say she loved it.
Willaful,
How long does it take to listen to audiobooks? I’ve never tried them.
Pat L,
How are you liking it so far? How are you liking Cade?
Sharlene,
Did you finish it? I didn’t…I was too busy playing on Instagram last night.
Sue,
Victoria Dahl is very hit or miss with me, mostly miss but I haven’t tried this book. I’m curious to see how you like it.
Willaful,
I think I’d fall into the same catagory. I think I’d prefer to read for myself.
LSUReader,
I’m still reading The Best Man and so far, it’s good but I’m not quite done yet. I’m hoping it will hold up until the end but we’ll see.
