What Are You Reading? (143)

Rowena: This week I’ve been doing a lot of re-reading.  I re-read Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern for my book club meeting next week and now I’m reading The Duke & I by Julia Quinn for our book club that begins next month.  Oh gosh, I’m loving this re-read of The Duke & I.  I’m loving Simon, I’m loving the Bridgerton clan, I’m just…loving it all.  After I finish The Duke & I by Julia Quinn, I’ll be reading The Reece Malcolm List by Amy Spalding.

Holly is busy with family business today but she told me that she’s reading The Duke & I by Julia Quinn…it seems like we’re both being good worker bees and getting ready for the book club discussion next month.  I’m really looking forward to it and I know that Holly is too.  It’s going to be such fun.

What are you reading this week?

  1. I read Love, Rosie a few years ago. I like Cecelia’s writing, but this was too sad for me. All of the lost time! I am reading the anthology “Be Mine”, which has 3 really good stories (sexy ones!) Actually, I am just starting the 3rd, but it is by Shannon Stacy, so you know it will be good!

  2. This morning I finished Addicted by Charlotte Stein which I really liked, and I am also currently rereading Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and reading for the first time The Long Way Home by Mariah Stewart

  3. I’m reading The Seduction of Elliot McBride, by Jennifer Ashley. This is part of the Mackenzie series and so far I’m very disappointed. The other books in the series were so good, but this one is only so-so. Has anyone else read it?

  4. @Marg – I have Addicted TBR. I was very intrigued by the premise. Glad to know you enjoyed it.

@LSUReader – I read it. I haven’t reviewed it yet. I couldn’t remember a thing about it until I checked Goodreads. I gave it 5 stars there, but thinking back I graded it much too high. Especially since I barely remember it now.

Tracy gave it a 3.75/5. I think my own grade will fall in line with hers.

    Sharlene,

Love, Rosie was a reread for me and this time, I didn’t love it the way I did the first time I read it. This time, I kept getting annoyed with both Rosie and Alex and all of the wasted time and miscommunication. It drove me bonkers.

    Willa,

How are you liking that book?
