Holly: I’m still in a mini-slump. I’ve only read 2 books this week. It’s kind of depressing. I want to read, I just can’t get into any of the books I pick up.
I finished reading Shadow Woman by Linda Howard. It was better than I expected, but light on the romance. I also did a re-read of Fall Into Me by Linda Winfree, a book I re-read every year. I adore that book. If you haven’t read it yet, GO DO IT. So good.
Next up? I have no idea. I’m just going to randomly choose a book on my Nook and see if it works. Wish me luck?
Rowena: I didn’t read too much this week but I’m not too worried. I just finished reading The Risk Taker by Kira Sinclair and am still trying to figure out what I’m going to read next. I’m thinking about picking up Crazy Thing Called Love by Molly O’Keefe. I’m 95% sure that’s what I’m going to start over the weekend.
What are you reading?
I’m trying to catch up on some non-romance books I’ve been ignoring while trying to read every romance ever written. :-\ Right now I’m reading Eros Ascending by Mike Resnick, which amusingly enough turns out to be quite romantic.
I just finished Running Wild by Linda Howard and Linda Jones. It was very slow to start but then improved. Overall I enjoyed it. Surprisingly it had many of the recipes at the end with detailed descriptions of what to do and not do.
I just finished Happiness Key by Emilie Richards and A Rather Remarkable Homecoming by C.A. Belmond (4th in the Rather series). Now reading Pictures of You by Caroline Leavitt. All of a sudden I’m in a reading mode and liking everything I pick up.
I’ve fallen back into Kristen Ashley land. I started reading Lady Luck, which I had picked up in an ebook sale, got about 10% into it and decided I really should start at the beginning of the Colorado Mountain series. Started The Gamble yesterday and I’m about halfway through. Talk about book crack! I’ve given up fighting the addiction.
I’m re-reading Nora Roberts Sign of Seven Trilogy. I just love her guys ☺
I’m reading Heather Snow’s second book, Sweet Deception. It’s so good. This week I also read two C.J.Lyons mysteries, Snake Skin and Kill Zone–both excellent!
I am trying to finish Les Miserables but also just finished Free-Falling by Nicola Moriarty and now started both The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton and Unforgettable by Elise K Ackers (contemporary romance)
@Joyce: I just got Running Wild and look forward to reading it. It’s been a long time since I’ve read something by LH that I absolutely loved so I’m hoping this will be the one for me.
@JenM: I’m scared of Kristen Ashley. I blame Holly and Ames.
@LSUReader: Did you like Heather Snow’s first book? I read a few chapters but couldn’t get into it so I stopped, I’m thinking maybe I should pick it up again.
@Marg: Have you seen the new movie for Les Mis?
