What Are You Reading: 5/4/12 (106)

Rowena: It’s been a slow reading week for me but I did manage to finish a book. I read and did not enjoy Jersey Angel by Beth Ann Bauman (YA). The main character got on my hot damn nerves and I didn’t feel like there was any resolution or growth on her part at the end so it left me feeling all pissy. If you’re a teenage girl reading this, it’s never okay to sleep with your best friend’s boyfriend just because you can’t help yourself. You’re not being a good friend when you do that over and over again so…DON’T DO IT. Ugh. Now I’m reading Destiny by Carly Phillips and so far, so good.

Holly: I’m reading Natural Evil by Thea Harrison. I haven’t had much time to read this week, but I’m hoping to find some quiet time this weekend.

What are you guys reading this week? Anything good?

  1. Lynsay Sands’ “Under a Vampire Moon”. These past couple of weeks have been slow because I decided to tackle the (monumental) task of organizing my ebook collection using Calibre…. and that collection is 10 years worth of titles at a rate of purchases between 15-20 ebooks a month (my budget has been eternally shot since I discovered romance back then) 😛

  2. Listening to Sandra Brown’s Smash Cut — some great twists! Also reading I Kissed an Earl and The Last Good Man by Kathleen Eagle. And Angelfall for a GoodReads group read.

I’m reading The Woman Who Loved Jesse James by Cindi Myers. It’s fictionalized history, written from the point of view of Jesse James’s wife. It. Is. Awesome. I’m almost done.

I read Faefever by Karen Marie Moning now. Plan to read Dreamfever and Shadowfever next. This series get me hooked!

  5. Just finished Hot Under Pressure by Louisa Edwards – loved it. Cried my eyes out at the final food competition presentations.

Going to start the new Lori Wilde book.

  6. It seemed kind of over-inflated to me, but I enjoyed it more than many historicals I’ve tried recently — I seem to have developed an allergy. 🙁

@Mireya: Wow, 10 years of ebooks? That must have taken a long time but at least it’s all nice and organized, right?

@willaful: I’ve heard nothing but good things about I Kissed an Earl but haven’t read it myself yet. Are you enjoying it?

@Elena: How is that series? I have given up on that author, just can’t get into her stuff though I’m curious about this new series.

@Pat L.: I really enjoyed Hot Under Pressure too. Turned out to be a good series. I’m a fan.
