Rowena: This week went by pretty fast but I can cop that up to babysitting so many hot damn kids for my sister who was on vacation this week. I was super busy so I didn’t get very much reading done but I did finish Karma by Carly Phillips. Right now, I’m reading At Last by Jill Shalvis and I’m really enjoying Matt and Amy’s story. Shalvis always brings a smile to my face with her stories and this one is no different. I have no idea what I’ll start after this one but I’ve got a lot to choose from.
Holly:
This week flew by for me as well. I had relatives visiting from out of town and I’m still in packing hell, so I mainly read short, free reads I downloaded for my Nook. Nothing really stands out worth mentioning from those.
Yesterday I read Moon Called by Patricia Briggs, the first in the Mercy Thompson series. Today I’m working on Blood Bound, the second. So far I’m really enjoying the world. It’s a bit strange reading these after the Alpha and Omega series. I only have these first two books. After I finished Blood Bound, I’ll decide if I want to buy the remaining books.
What are you reading this week?
It’s been a slow week, reading-wise (too much over time at work–good for the check, really sad for any kind of life)
I’m re-reading the Psy/Changeling series in preparation of the release of Tangle of Need at the end of the month–I love this series!
I also read Heaven Can Wait, by Cheryl St John, as part of the TBR challenge.
And…that’s it 🙁
I really need to get my behind in gear and read HelenKay Dimon’s When She Wasn’t Looking
I’ve been re-reading old favorites lately. The most recent was True Betrayals by Nora Roberts and now I’m into Here Kitty, Kitty by Shelly Laurenston. I love the humor in Laurenston books.
I’m trying to catch up on netGalley books. Read About that Night by Ruthis Knox — terrific! Just finished a nonfiction book called Till We Eat Again, which spoke to me as a woman who got in shape in her 40s. Also reading one of the Demonica books… the 4th one, I can never keep the titles straight. And listening to Cherish by Catherine Anderson, with a narrator who sounds like Mrs. Claus. :-\
I’m reading the YA book In Honor by Jessi Kirby. Really enjoying it so far.
Diana
I’m reading both J.D. Robb’s STRANGERS IN DEATH (engrossing) and a new ‘How To’ book by Eileen Charbonneau called ELEMENTS OF THE NOVEL: A PRIMER FOR BEGINNERS. I am up to the section on the process of writing. Very interesting! Just finished ESCAPE FROM SHANGRI-LA about a plane that crashed in New Guinea during WWII. Just fascinating. Sorry to have completed it and must now search for the next non-fiction work.
I often read one non-fiction and one fiction simultaneously. I also usually am reading a book on the craft of writing.
Just finished Joan Johnston’s Texas Bride – loved it – first in the series.

I keep saying that I’m goign to read a HKD but I never get around to it. She’s back on my radar so thanks for that @azteclady.
I finished The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts and am now reading The Proposal by Mary Balogh.
I am reading Dream trilogy by Nora Roberts. Holly, you must finish the Mercy’s series, you will not regret it 🙂
@Diana: Hey, I have that book in my TBR pile. Did you finish it? How did you like it?
@Kim: What did you think of The Last Boyfriend?
@elena: I’m drawing a blank on the Dream trilogy, which titles are in that series again?
Happy reading everyone!
Am reading Lisa Gardner – Love You More.
