What Are You Reading? 8-12-11. (70)

Rowena: It’s been a pretty sucky reading week for me. The only book that I read was A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies and I’m still deciding what I think about the book. I liked it but there are things that I didn’t like about it. I have finally moved on to read Bad Boys Do by Victoria Dahl. I’m about halfway through this book and am glad that I picked it up. I’m loving Jamie and I’m really enjoying getting to know Olivia. Both characters are wonderful!

Holly: My reading week has been pretty sucky too. I went camping with my family over the weekend. I thought I’d have plenty of time to read while I was up there, but my family had other ideas. We spent all our time hiking. Remind me not to do that again while 6 months pregnant.

I did manage to read Heart of Steel by Meljean Brook. It was amazing. Seriously amazing. I’m just sorry it ended. Since then I’ve re-read The Iron Duke and Where There Be Monsters. Yesterday I started If You Hear Her by Shiloh Walker. I’ve only read a few pages, but I’m already hooked. Hopefully I’ll have more time to read this coming week. I’m leaving on vacation tomorrow. Let’s hope my family leaves me alone often enough to finish at least a few books.

What are you reading?

@Pat L.: I haven’t ever heard of that book or author, let me know if you end up liking it. I’m always up for trying new authors. =)

@Tori: Holly read that book last week, I think and she enjoyed it so I’m sure you will too.

I’m reading Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. I’m only 36 pages in, but I’m enjoying it so far.

  3. Last night I read Unveiled by Courtney Milan so I will read a couple more of her books as well in the next couple of days. Also this week I read Fools Rush In by Kristan Higgins (meh), an autobiography and Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani. I also have a couple of Georgette Heyer books on the go.

I had never read any Rachel Gibson books before. I picked up Any Man of Mine and really liked it, so I just finished Daisy’s Back in Town. That was another good read.

I don’t even know! I’m in the middle of about 14 different books and really need to finish some or DNF them or something. I have the most recent “Night Huntress” book and want to get started! — willaful
