Rowena: With the long weekend underway, I’m planning on sinking my teeth into some books. I just finished reading Insatiable by Meg Cabot and now I’m reading The Bed and the Bachelor by Tracy Anne Warren. I’m pretty stoked about it because it’s Drake’s book and I adored Drake in the other books in this series.
Holly: My reading has been pretty lagging this past week. I just can’t seem to sit still long enough to get any reading done. I did manage to read New York to Dallas. Although it was a good entry in the series, it wasn’t as emotionally compelling as I expected. Or maybe it was just my mood?
Yesterday I read Against all Odds by Irene Hannon. While I can’t say I hated the story, I didn’t really care for it either. There were some good parts, but a lot of it was really boring. I honestly have no idea where it even came from. It just showed up on my Nook. I wonder if it was a free download at some point?
Last night I started Husband Under Construction by Karen Templeton. I’m only about 23 pages in. What I’ve read so far is great.
Casee: My reading has been going really well. Over the last week I’ve read Archangel’s Blade by Nalini Singh and Storm’s Heart by Thea Harrison. Right now I’m reading Justice by Karen Robards. I didn’t really like the character in the first book, but Jessica Ford has been much more tolerable in Justice. I’ve also been reading Kissing Comfort by Jo Goodman. I heart her.
What are you reading?
I love Nalini Singh’s writing but I have not read her Angel series but I am into Angels’ Blood and really like it.
I have an old HP by Amnda Carpetner for a group read, and also Kristin Higgan’s latest. Right now I’m finishing up Anne Stuart’s Breathless. — willaful
I’ve been trying to get to some of the older books on my TBR pile and picked the first book in Eileen Wilks World of the Lupi series – Tempting Danger. I love shifter books and this one was fantastic. Luckily there are 7 books out in the series. I have a feeling I’ll be reading all of them pretty quickly.
I have 100 pages to go in One Reckless Summer by Toni Blake, then I’m starting Blackberry Summer. I think that’s by Raeann Thayne? I’m in a summer kinda mood 😉
Rowena, what did you think of Insatiable? The sequel, Overbite, comes out on July 5.
I’m reading the Harlequin Blaze Just Let Go… by Kathleen O’Reilly. It’s the second book in her Harts of Texas trilogy, and it’s pretty good so far.
Diana
I am also working on my tbr pile in my Kindle. I have about 100 stories in there I have not read. Most of them free downloads from Amazon 🙂
Currently am on Cut and Run (Book 1) by Madeleine Roux and Abigail Urban
I’m reading Savage Nature by Christine Feehan and Coming Home by Anna James.
Hey Diana,
I ended up really enjoying Insatiable though the first 200 pages were a trial to get through. It took forEVER for the book to take off for me but when it finally did, I loved it! I started Overbite last night and am really anxious to dig into it. The first 200 pages of Insatiable were so hot dang boring though. Ugh.
Are you Team Lucien or Team Wulf? Haha. Alaric and Meena remind me of Booth and Bones, haha. I can’t wait for more of them.
