What Are You Reading? 5-6-11. (57)

Rowena: It’s been a good reading week for me. I finished The Edge of Night by Jill Sorenson and went on a YA reading spree. I read He’s So Not Worth It by Kieran Scott, The Sweetest Thing by Christine Mandelski, Incredibly Alice by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor and right now, I’m reading Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts. I’m getting a lot of reading done so woo hoo for me!

Holly: I read Resisting Mr. Tall, Dark and Texan by Christine Rimmer today. It was pretty good, though I did have a few issues with the series baiting. I’m not sure what I’m going to read next. I’m trying to get through some review books I’ve had sitting around for awhile, but I’m still in a funk so it isn’t going very well. Wish me luck in getting over this, will you?

Casee: I just finished reading Vampire in Atlantis by Alyssa Day. It was oh so good. I was surprised I loved it as much as I did because I really didn’t think I’d like a heroine that was an Atlantean princess. I was going to pick up Into the Night by Janelle Denison, but then I read the blurb. I’m not usually into reporter heroines (unless Pamela Clare writes them) and I’m particularly picky today. I decided to pick up Surrender to Me by Shayla Black for a change of pace. Unfortunately that change of pace includes pages and pages of sex. I know there is a plot that’s coming–sometime. I just don’t know if I have the patience to wait for it. My third choice is Warrior Betrayed by Addison Fox. I suppose paranormal might just be it for me right now.

I’d been having an excellent run of un-put-downables, but sadly that seems to have ended with The Iron Duke. Perhaps everything else just seems tame now. I DNF’d Eternal Hunger by Laura Wright, which was very derivative. — willaful

  2. Another tough week, reading wise! I just finished Tempting Adam by Jill James and currently reading Ring of Lies by Rachel Lynne. Maybe this week will be better – you’ve given me some good suggestions!

I’m just finishing Much Ado About You by Eloisa James. I’m a bit disappointed with this one, so I’m not sure at this point whether or not I’ll continue with the rest of the series.
