Holly: I re-read two In Death books yesterday. Treachery and Survivor. I loved both (I just read Treachery for the first time last week, so that says something). Now I’m kind of stalled out. Have any good recommendations? I have no idea what I’m in the mood for. Maybe a shifter book?
Rowena: I just finished reading Wither by Lauren DeStefano and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It’s a dystopian YA novel about a girl named Rhine who lives in a world where the men die at age 25 and the women die at age 20. So in an effort to keep the earth populated, the men took to marrying more than one woman and they all lived together and repopulate the earth. Rhine is kidnapped away from her home hometown of Manhattan and taken to Florida to be a wife to Linden Ashby. She has two sister wives that she gets really close to and the whole story follows Rhine’s new life. It was an interesting book and I’m more than a little anxious for the next book. Now that I’ve put that book down, I’m going to finish Playing for Keeps by LuAnn McLane.
Too many books! Am finishing up The Lady Most Likely (not liking it 🙁 ), started Harmony’s Way, have Heather’s Song by Diana Palmer for the gym, also reading As You Desire by Connie Brockway. And really want to start on One Drop of Crimsom but have to finish up some of these other books first! — willaful
I am reading ‘Every Breath You Take’ by Judith McNaught now (and enjoying it as I have most of her contemporaries). I am looking forward to starting ‘Baby Love’, my first Catherine Anderson, this weekend.
Deidre Martin’s Ice Breaker – am loiving it. Like the banter back and forth – DM’s books are great!
Teenyann, I love Catherine’s books; I think you will like them. Try Robyn Carr and Susan Mallery too if you havent already.
I just read Treachery last weekend, and then read Naked in Death, Glory in Death, and I am starting Immortal in Death. I also have 4 of the short stories to get through–somehow I missed them. I had forgotten how much I loved Naked, which of course, is what started me on them in the first place.
Am reading the third in Monica McCarty’s Highland Guard series – The Ranger and am really enjoying the series.
