Holly: I finally read Rachel Gibson’s Nothing But Trouble this week. I can’t remember why I didn’t read it when it came out. I think I was into historicals at the time and set it aside, then promptly forget it on my TBR shelf (aka The Black Hole of Doom). It was really good. I enjoyed seeing some of my favorite hockey players from past books. Mark and Chelsea were great together. I only wish the next book was out already.I’m leaving today to go on a week long cruise. Yay me! I have no idea what I’m going to read on the ship, but I’m taking both my Nook and my Kindle. I don’t want to bring a lot of paperbacks because of space issues in my luggage (I’m a consummate over-packer). But I do plan to take Treachery in Death and Lola Carlyle Reveals it All for the RG spotlight.
Casee: I’m reading A Duke’s Temptation by Jillian Hunter. I am hoping that reading a historical might snap me out of my reading slump. After reading both Lori and Judith‘s reviews, it made me want to read it. I also left the book I was reading, Last to Die by Kate Brady, at work. There are a few books I want to start, including the last few Rachel Gibson’s that I don’t think I read. Bad me.
Rowena: It wasn’t a good reading week for me. I finished some RG books that I’ll be reviewing for the blog for the RG spotlight and I read Five Flavors of Dumb by Antony John and right now I’m reading Aces Up by Lauren Barnholdt.
So what are you guys reading?
Good grief, there’s another “in death” book? My library still hasn’t gotten the last one! 🙁
I’m reading A Place to Call Home by… Deborah Smith? More fiction than romance, but good.
I just picked up The Next Best Thing by Kristin Higgins, but will probably start Halfway to the Grave first, for a little variety. — willaful
Am reading Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor and loving it. Just finished Deb Macomber’s Call Me Mrs. Miracle – also v.g. – needed a hanky a few time.
I’m reading Venice (Richard & Rose book 3) by Lynne Connolly. I read Yorkshire (bk1) and Devonshire (bk2) on the weekend. I’m really enjoying the series – I love the pomp and circumstance of the 1750’s and the characters are very engaging. I balked just a little at the insta-love in Bk1 but have otherwise been very much enjoying the series. I think there are another 3 books so far – which are on my wishlist for future purchases!
I’m also listening to the Mercy Thompson series on audio (I’ve read the books) and I started Moon Called today.
I just finished LK’s Friday Harbor book….not sure yet what I’ll read next.
Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch 🙂
Got ten new books for my birthday on Saturday. Just finished the first one: Killbox by Ann Aguirre and have started book two: Bonds of Justice by Nalini Singh.
Lots of great reading ahead too 😀
@willa- I really enjoyed the KH so I’m interested to see what you think as well. Let me know when you read it, I thought it was cute!
@PatL.- I really want to read that book but haven’t made it to the bookstore to pick it up yet. Prolly I’ll just buy it for my nook.
@Dev- Thoughts? Yay or nay? On the LK.
Half an hour ago I finished Scandal’s Bride by Stephanie Laurens and just about to pick up What Price Love? by the same author.
