Holly: I’m not reading anything right now. I think I’m heading into a slump. Nothing I’ve picked up has kept my attention. I’ve started and stopped at least 4 books. I even read about 150 pages of The Perfect Rake by Anne Gracie (rec’d to me by Tracy) and then set it down. I just can’t focus. Hopefully things turn around this week.
Casee: I’m reading Entice Me at Twilight by Shayla Black. I love the Doomsday Brethren series. There are a few characters that I really can’t wait to read about.
I finally got a copy of Demon From the Dark by Kresley Cole. I’ve had it on the sidebar as what I was reading hoping that I would be getting my copy the next day. Then the next day, then then next.
What are you reading this Labor Day weekend?
Ohmigod! If you can’t read TPR, you are in a MAJOR slump! Better watch a movie instead.
I’m reading a pretty good Gayle Wilson Intrigue called Almost a Whisper and also Awaken My Love by Robin Schone. (Too big to carry to the gym.) I have a personal challenge going to read through my TBR hardcovers/trade paperbacks by the end of the year, ’cause they take up so much room. — willaful
I’m having a KA Mitchell glom. I finished Chasing Smoke last night and have started on Regularly Scheduled Life. I really like this author – she writes characters I like and care about. RSL is about a well established couple who deal with a trauma and I’m really enjoying it so far.
Reading the anthology, BURNING UP. *Loved* Meljean Brook’s, Here There Be Monsters continuing with Nalini Singh’s novella next.
Still trying to find some time to finish The Homecoming by Joann Ross.
Currently reading Fragile by Shiloh Walker but I also read Demon from the Dark and Kiss of a Demon King by Kresley Cole this weekend – I either need more books of a life – I vote for more books.
I’m reading “Tracking the Tempest” by Nicole Peeler.
Next up are the new books by Lucy Monroe, Cassandra Clare and Sophie Kinsella.
What happens in London by Julia Quinn. It started off a little slow. But I’m happy I stuck with it. It’s quite entertaining now
I’m finishing up two books, The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Penney which has been good but slow going, an historical mystery set in Canada in the late 1860’s and The Curse of the Pharoahs 2nd in the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters which I’m loving on audiobook. I finished Blameless by Gail Carriger yesterday and was underwhelmed after waiting and waiting for it to come out! Still, it had it’s moments, but ultimately it was a let down. Btw, I loved The Perfect Rake and it’s sequel, The Perfect Waltz – don’t give up on them, go back and read them later when you’re in a better mood for them!
I’m finishing up the last book in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series! This has been my summer with the Bridgerton’s :)I was just introduced to her this spring when I was given a copy of The Duke and I.
Just finished The Darkest Hour by Maya Banks, LOVED it! Also reading The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson Book 1), very good so far.
I’m reading Atlantis Rising by Alyssa Day and oh. My. Gosh. I have no idea why I didn’t start this series sooner! Its freaking amazing 🙂
I’ve been on a Jill Shalvis kick this long weekend. I started with Double Play (loved it), moved to Instant Attraction (ditto) and now I’m on Sweet and Sexy. Not so sure about this one. It’s taking a long time to get going. But since I know Shalvis always delivers the goods, I’ll persevere.
I’M READING The Undoing of a Lady. And I’m looking forward to reading. The Truth About Lord Stoneville
