Review: Talk Dirty to Me by Tory Richards

Lilly has been in love with her brother’s best friend Blake for years. She lost her virginity to the oil driller on her eighteenth birthday, only to wake the next morning to find him gone. After he pulled that stunt twice more, she swore never to see or talk to him again. But now he’s back for her brother’s wedding, and he’s as irresistible as she remembers.

Blake thinks Lilly’s even sexier than ever. Unable to resist one another, they don’t make it out of the airport parking lot before taking up where they left off. As the two rediscover their passion for each other, nothing and nowhere is off-limits!
I generally enjoy Ellora’s Cave, but the last few books have been duds for me. I didn’t like three out of the five I’ve read in the last month or so. This is one of those three.

I love the whole “in love with your brother’s best friend” storyline. It makes things interesting. Usually the guy is doing whatever necessary to stay away from his best friend’s sister, but it’s just too hard. That’s not the case here. When Lilly turned 18, Blake took her virginity. Since then, they’ve been fuck buddies. When Blake comes into town, they can’t get enough of each other. Then he leaves.

When Lilly found out that she had to be the one to pick Blake up from the airport, she seemed genuinely distressed. She was upset that her brother would ask her to do it since he knew what the situation was. She also knows that Blake is her weakness. Still, she agrees to help out her brother. She does promise herself that she’s not going to fall into his trap again.

They get it on in the airport parking lot. Srsly.

What I did like about this book was when Blake realized what an ass he was being. He realized that he has always loved Lilly, but has been running from his feelings. The ending was a little abrupt. Not the happily ever after, but what lead up to it in the half page before it.

Oh, the heroine also had a tattoo on her butt cheek that said “Talk dirty to me”. Who does that?
