It’s July 18, What Are You Reading?

First things first: I have to wish my mother a happy birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEVIL WOMAN! I hope your day is amazing. You deserve it.

Holly: I read Water Bound by Christine Feehan a few days ago. I was on the fence when I heard she’d be writing a spin-off of her Drake Sisters series, but I’m a total convert now. Water Bound was awesome and I was so happy to return to Sea Haven.

Now I’m reading If He’s Wild by Hannah Howell. I have a love/hate relationship with Howell. I love her heroines, her settings and her dialogue. I hate how addicting she is. I buy every book she puts out. Every.Single.One. Even all the Murray books that started getting repetitive. I just can’t stop. I also plan to start Three Nights with a Scoundrel by Tessa Dare soon. I’m excited to finally read Julian’s book because I’ve been curious about him since book one. I’m also a little nervous because he hasn’t been my favorite character. I hope Lily makes him work for it..that’s all I’ve got to say.

Rowena: It wasn’t a very good week for reading for me. I have too many things going on at both work and in my personal life that is keeping me from reading as much as I want. At work, I have a ginormous project that I have to get off my desk before I can even think about doing my regular work and each day that I work on this project, keeps me backed up on my regular work. At home, I’m preparing for my friend’s wedding this coming Saturday. Lots of last minute (really last minute) details are coming up and my reading minutes have suffered because of it. I did, however finish reading Greek: Double Date by Marsha Warner and then I did some quick re-reads of some Meg Cabot books. Right now, I’m reading both The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (very interesting) and Finding Perfect by Susan Mallery. I’m enjoying both books and look forward to reading more tonight, after my crazy Sunday afternoon is over and done with.

That’s all I got for this week. I hope next week will be better though I seriously doubt it. Gah, sucks to be me.

Casee: I’ve been reading some great paranormals lately. I decided to continue in that direction and am trying a new to me author. I’m reading Warrior Ascended by Addison Fox. I believe it’s book 1 in The Sons of the Zodiac series. I haven’t done much research on it. So far it’s good, but I haven’t had much time to read it since I picked it up.

What are you reading today and what do you have to read this week?

Reading Shadows of the Moon by Rebecca York and and old Sandra Marton HP called Dark Fires. Looking forward to starting Karen Rose’s Silent Scream soon. — willaful

  2. I’ve just finished Something About You by Julie James and I really liked it – I devoured it in just over a day and had a smile on my face most of the time I think plus some LOL moments.

Last week I read Savour the Moment by Nora Roberts – not as good as the first 2 IMO – there didn’t seem to be much conflict so I felt the story kind of meandered. I am looking forward to Parker and Mal’s story though.

I also read Nothing but Trouble by Rachel Gibson. I really liked True Love and Other Disasters but I didn’t enjoy this one so much – it was okay but not great.

    …now, what to read next…?!

  3. I am glad that you liked Water Bound, i was worried about that one. I am currently reading The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker by Leanna Renee Hieber. I just finished Eternal Hunter by Cynthia Eden, i enjoyed it.

  4. I re-read parts of Summer in Sonoma by Robyn Carr – I just loved Walt!!!

Am currently readed Never Too Hot by Bella Andre.

I read last week One Season of Sunshine by Julia London which takes place in the same town as The Summer of Two Wishes with a mention of Wyatt.

I have so many on my tbr and so many coming out but am looking forward to Susan Mallery’s next “Perfect” book, Victoria Dahl’s Crazy for Love and Robin Well’s Still the One. Who knows when I will actually read them, there are so many and who knows what I will choose when I finish what I am reading.
