Happy 4th of July to everyone. We hope you guys are enjoying your long weekend but be safe! It’s a holiday weekend but we all know that as avid readers, we’re all still reading…something.
Rowena: This week was a good reading week for me. I finished reading Beastly by Alex Finn and absolutely adored it. I also finished reading It Started with a Dare by Lindsay Faith Rech and My Reckless Surrender by Anna Campbell. Now I’m reading Life as a Poser by Beth Killian. Lots of good reading going on in Southern California with me.
Holly: I’m in the middle of so many books it’s ridiculous. I don’t know why I started so many at once. Well, ok, mostly it’s because I kept finding myself in weird places without books, so I had to start a new one. But this is very unusal for me.
I’m still reading Demon Blood by Meljean Brook. It isn’t because the book isn’t good, I just left it in the car last week and then my husband took it to work. I’m also reading Welcome Home, Cowboy by Karen Templeton (she’s a favorite), Homecoming by JoAnn Ross (she’ll be guest blogging later this week), Lady Isabella’s Scandalous Marriage by Jennifer Ashley (she’ll also be guest blogging later this week) and Water Bound by Christine Feehan (the first book in her Drake Sisters spin off series, Sea Haven). If I can get all these read this week it’ll be a miracle.
Casee: I’m reading Sin Undone by Larissa Ione. It’s my first book of July. I’m enjoying it so far, but I haven’t had much time to read it. Or I haven’t had much interest in reading period. It’s really sad. I have several other books that I’m looking forward to including Alyssa Day and Cherry Adair.
What are you reading this Fourth of July?
After reading the revew here of The Search, I went out and bought it and I started it last night.
Summer in Sonoma and lovin’ it by Robyn Carr.
What is with that first comment, all gobbedly gook? I see that sometimes when doing a search.
@PatL – I believe they’re spam comments.
I just finished Ecstasy Unveiled by Larissa Ione and am currently in the middle of Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews.
I cannot wait to get my copies of A Summer in Sonoma and Lady Isabella’s Scandalous Marriage.
I just finished Lisa Kleypas’ Love in the Afternoon and am reading Karen Hawkins’ Talk of the Town.
I’m in the middle of Wicked Becomes You by Meredith Duran. I’ve heard so many good things about this author and I am loving this book. It’s so hard to find Regency authors that really stand out. Definitely planning on reading her backlist.
I started Jo Goodman’s Rogue’s Mistress and got intensely frustrated when I realized I really need to reread the end of Wild Sweet Ecstacy first. (Of course I realized this on the way out of town!) — willaful
I’m reading Highlander Ever After by Jennifer Ashley. I adore her books! 🙂
