Casee: I read a book!

Hello Again by Brenda Novak | 4 out of 5

It was just what I needed to get out of my slump and I profusely thanked Brenda for that. I’m now on my second book since finishing a few days ago.

Holly: I had a pretty solid reading month. I read 21 books. Many of them were new-to-me, which is great since there’ve been a lot of months where my rereads outnumber my new reads.

Sustainted by Emma Chase | 4.75 out of 5
Sidebarred by Emma Chase | 4.25 out of 5
Heart Sight by Robin D. Owens | 4 out of 5
Radiance by Grace Draven | 4.25 out of 5
Eidolon by Grace Draven | 3.75 out of 5
Lover of Thorns and Holy Gods by Grace Draven | 3.5 out of 5

Hold On by Kristen Ashley (reread) | 4 out of 5
Hold Her Again by Shannon Stacey | 3 out of 5
Bountiful by Sarina Bowen | 3.5 out of 5

My favorite read of the month was Sustained by Emma Chase. I adored Jake and the McQuaid family. Radiance by Grace Draven is a close runner up. I loved how different the story was. My least favorite was, collectively, the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley. I didn’t dislike the books, but she has better series’.

Rowena: It’s been a slow reading month for me because I have been so wrapped up in baseball and with that over for the year, my goal is to get my reading back up so wish me luck on that. With that said, I did manage a few reads over the course of October. Here’s what I read.

On a Tuesday by Whitney G. | 3.75 out of 5
Lady Sophia’s Lover by Lisa Kleypas | 4.25 out of 5
Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas (re-read twice) | 4 out of 5
Sustained by Emma Chase (re-read) | 5 out of 5
An Ex for Christmas by Lauren Layne | 4 out of 5
Holiday Wishes by Jill Shalvis | 4 out of 5
A Duke in Shining Armor by Loretta Chase | 4.25 out of 5

My favorite read of the month is a tie between Lady Sophia’s Lover and A Duke in Shining Armor. Both books were so great and I adored them both to pieces. My least favorite read of the month goes to On a Tuesday by Whitney G. The book is good, I just enjoyed the other books I read a little more.

I’ve only done re-reads this month.
I’d like to be entered for Loretta Chase or Emma Chase’s books.

  2. I adored Radiance by Grace Draven because the relationship is the most unique—I mean how many romances do you read where the main characters find each other physically ugly hehe its just hilarious their bantering, I love it.

And Rowena I LOVE that you loved Lady Sophia’s Lover, such a fabulous book right? Its one of the best HR office romances, so dang good. And boy Ross is one sexy hero. Such a good guy.

  3. Kareni

Some of my favorites (books and authors) are listed above ~ Radiance, Lady Sophia’s Lover, Sarina Bowen, Kristen Ashley.

My favorite reads this month were re-reads by Lyn Gala, Anne Cleeland, and Sarina Bowen. There were several books I didn’t finish, but it may have been the moment in time rather than the book.

Should I win, I’d like the Loretta Chase book.

  4. Glenda

I didn’t have a lot of reading time last month because of work and a trip, but I spent most of it getting caught up on (ok reading) Dianne Duvall’s Gifted Ones series and Immortal Guardian’s series. I’m still working on the Immortal Guardian’s. I love these books!

  5. CelineB

I was so busy with work last month that I didn’t read much. My favorite was probably Till Dawn Tames the Night by Megan McKinney and my least favorite was probably The Scot Beds His Wife by Kerrigan Byrne. It was the only one of that series that hasn’t worked for me.

I’d love to win the Loretta Chase book.

I absolutely loved both Sustained and Radiance. I’ve been on an extended vacation and didn’t do too much reading in October but my favorite book was All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood. It’s not a romance and the subject matter was pretty disturbing, but it was very compelling. My least favorite was Playing the Part by Darcy Daniels. A Duke in Shining Armor is high on my wish list so I’d love to win that.

  7. Ada

My favorite was Falling Into Bed With The Duke by Lorraine Heath, one of my top historical authors. My least favorite was A Kiss To Build A Dream On by Kim Amos. I just couldn’t get into that one, did not enjoy the storyline or the characters at all!

  8. Irma

I’ve finaly had the chance to read Dearest Rogue by Elizabeth Hoyt and yes, I loved it. Maiden Lane series is so so wonderful. I just got me some Tessa Dare so I’m off to read her next.
