Nicole and Scott were once married but unfortunately for many reasons it didn’t work out. Now they’re forced back together to work on a drug task force involving puppies being used as drug mules. Nicole aka Cole used to work with dogs on the competition circuit so she is perfect for getting them in so that they can investigate a particular famous couple who the big bosses think are heading the drug dealing.
Cole and Scott have a very contentious relationship but they still love each other despite their outer façades. Cole is worried as it’s been so long since she’s worked at dog shows and Scott is worried because he’s being targeted by an member of an MC in which Scott was undercover with at one point. The MC member seems to want to stop at nothing to make Scott pay and that includes his family and anyone he loves.
Force of Attraction is the second full length novel in the K-9 Rescue series. In this book we certainly get our share of K-9’s and I loved that. Cole’s dog Hugo and Scott’s dog Izzy were wonderful. I loved reading about their personalities and their cute little antics. I know they are police dogs but there were still so cute and were a great addition to the story.
Cole and Scott were good together but I must say that Cole tended to get on my nerves. She was just SO stubborn it rubbed me the wrong way. She didn’t seem to want to give Scott a second chance, and I could understand that to a point, however he seemed to be proving himself and she STILL wouldn’t go there. Arg! Frustrating!
There was some mystery centered around the MC guy who was harassing Scott and a bit of suspense but nothing too edge of your seat.
Overall it was a decent read and I liked much better than book one.
