I’m just a couple of days late this week in getting this post written. Sorry about that. We were at yet another dance competition this past Saturday and my youngest had a stomach bug but wanted to do it anyway. She did well again and her team got another 1st. Yay. 🙂 Just a recital on Saturday and then we’re done. Thank. God. lol
This is the last week of school for my oldest. She’s taking finals today, tomorrow and Friday and then she’s done. (I’m liking the done word today, aren’t I?) My youngest doesn’t get out of school for another week and a half – which she hates, but she did get more time off during the year so it makes sense. I still haven’t figured out what to do with them over the summer. Any suggestions?
On to what I read this past week:
First up for the week was A Little Night Mischief by Emily Greenwood. This is about a woman, Felicity, who is righteously upset that her uncle gambled off their family home. The uncle dies but now Felicity and her father are in the dowager house (that belonged to her mother, I think so it couldn’t be given away). She wants to new owner gone, gone, gone but James is determined to flip the home and make some much needed money. This was a very sweet book and the romance was well done. Felicity did drive me batty with her completely hair-brained schemes to get James to go away but it all worked out in the end. 3.75 out of 5
Next up was Connected by Kim Karr. The story follows Dahlia as she goes through college and beyond. She is with Ben and has been for years but one night she meets a guy, River, who rocks her world and they share a connection that is darned near magical in its intensity. They just talk at a bar and she doesn’t stick around because she’s with Ben. Years go by and Ben gets killed right in front of Dahlia. A couple of years after Ben’s death she meets River again and the connection is still alive. They become darned near inseparable but they have their issues – as well as Dahlia having her house broken in to and she’s attacked. I liked the book and the premise of the story but there was too much gratuitous sex for my liking. The middle of the book was a great big love-in between River and Dahlia and it just didn’t further the story, imho. It was definitely not a fast read and the end is a cliffhanger – just fyi. 🙂 3 out of 5 (My review for this is posting on The Book Binge tomorrow 5/30 if you want to read more info.)
Next up was Wedding Flirts! 5 Romantic Short Stories by Lisa Scott. I liked her Flirts! short stories so I thought I’d try her Wedding Flirts. I liked a couple more than the others but overall it was pretty cute. 3.5 out of 5
The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall by Tam Ames is the story of 6 ft something Spence who faints at the sight of blood but wants a tattoo so badly. He finally ventures into a tattoo parlor and ends up meeting Vander who lets him watch him get a tattoo…that doesn’t end so well for Spence but going out with Vander does. Very cute short story! 3.5 out of 5
How the Other Half Lives by Clare London is the story of an uptight, OCD clean freak who decides to join the apartment building’s flat sitting co-op just to get his friend off his back. Russ is a guy who can’t be bothered to unpack boxes cuz he already knows what’s in there and joins the same co-op to get HIS friend off his back. Russ and Martin “meet” through their apartments and start to like each other despite their differences. When they meet in person it’s not love at first sight, but close. I really liked how Clare showed us the two men prior to meeting and exactly how they thought of themselves. The transformations they make after “meeting” the other man was slow, but just lovely. Well done. 4 out of 5
Agave Kiss by Ann Aguirre is the last book in the Corine Solomon series and it was a good one. She’s trying to go on after losing her man but is determined to find a way to bring him back from the dead. She also helps her friend Booke in England – a man she’s never met and might be dying a quick death. The book is more or less a complete wrap up but well done. 4 out of 5 You can read my review on The Book Binge here.
Ethan by Grace Burrowes is book 3 in the Lonely Lords series. I didn’t read books 1 & 2 but it didn’t seem to have too much effect on this book. The story is about Ethan who is the bastard son of an Earl. The earl was raising him with his half siblings until he was 14 and then sent him away. His life after that was one tragedy after another and doesn’t improve until he hires Alice Portman to be governess to his two sons. They each have their issues but find peace together. A slower read but well done. 3.75 out of 5
Last for the week was a novella called A Longtime (and at one point illegal) Crush by Janette Rallison. The story is about a girl who has been in love with her brother’s best friend since she was 8 years old. He’s older and at one point becomes her teacher. She feels rejected and just wants to stay away. Now she’s in college and back in town for her brother’s wedding and gets stuck on his property. The story is told mostly in flashback. As cute as it was the girl, Elsie, was a bit annoying in her self pity when she thought Kye was rejecting her. I guess it was typical high school drama but that didn’t mean I liked it. lol 3 out of 5

I’m a little behind this week – so sorry. For those of you who know I work at a church all I have to say is that it’s Holy Week. The week before Easter is a incredibly busy week for me and frankly I was so exhausted when I got home last night I couldn’t have written a coherent sentence if I wanted to! Luckily it’s a short week for me since I have Friday off so I’ll have 3 days to recover. :P)
It was a pretty exciting week at the Tracy house last week. My youngest, after 4.5 years, got her black belt in Taekwondo this past Saturday. She did a really great job and I’m just so damned proud of her I could hardly stand it. The test was 4 hours long so after she was done she was almost too exhausted to enjoy it, poor thing. A few months ago she had decided that she wasn’t going to continue after she got her black belt but now that she has it she’s reconsidering so we’ll see what comes next. I put together a video that is made up of various parts of the test so but it’s fun. She actually had to learn Korean terminology and the Korean national anthem for the test, which is on the vid (sorry it’s a bit shakey).

Other than that it was a pretty quiet week so I’ll get on to what I read last week. It may seem like I read a lot but really 6 of these were either shorts or novella’s so that counts as like 1 book, right. 🙂
I started off the week with Six Years by Harlan Coben. This is a mystery about a man and a woman who fall in love and spend 3 glorious months together. Jake knows that this is the real deal – like forever – and he knows Natalie feels the same. Unfortunately after 3 months she breaks up with him and then almost immediately invites him to her wedding to another man. After the ceremony she asks him to respect their marriage and never try to contact her. He promises but after six years he sees an obituary for the guy she married, Todd, and goes to the funeral. Surprise, surprise, the wife that Todd has had for many years, and has teen kids with, isn’t Natalie and Jake is more than confused. He’s never stopped loving Natalie and he won’t give up until he finds out what happened to her. This was a really good book that I just couldn’t put down. I read it in one sitting and I couldn’t figure out what was going on – which I loved. I hate when I figure it all out before the big reveal. Anyway, really good and definitely worth the read if mystery’s are your thing. You can read my full review here at Book Binge. 4 out of 5
Next up was Timeslip by Clare London. This is the story about Kevin who has the hots for his more than uptight new boss, Marcus. Kevin is really confused when Marcus starts showing up in his room. Marcus feels real but he can puff out at a moment’s notice. The reasoning behind it all was really quite clever. While the story was pretty short I really loved the whole premise and of course the way Clare wrote it I was completely involved. 4 out of 5
Next up was Light the Fire by JL Merrow. Kurt is sad and alone 2 years after his partner was killed. He gets frustrated by Matt in the gym as he just seems too…out there and perky. Kurt decides to give Matt a chance and things work out. I love Merrow’s stories and this one was no different. I could feel the pain and loneliness that Kurt was feeling, especially when he went to visit Raoul’s grave but I loved seeing him giving life a chance again and it was just a good story. 4 out of 5
Icicle by Natalie Vale was about Sean who has been in a serious relationship with Zack decides that he needs to go and do. He’s not sure what he needs but he’s got the bug and ends it with Zack, and not in a good way. Now it’s 10 months later and he gets caught in a snow storm and is close to death when he gets saved by Ezra. Ezra is a wanderer of sorts himself and he helps Sean see that sometimes home is the place you need to be. Good story with a paranormal aspect to it. 3.75 out of 5
Next was Second Son of a Duke by Gwen Hayes. This is the story of two men who force their siblings to marry. They’re more or less ambushed but they make the most of it. After a horrid wedding night they start to see each other in a different light and end up falling in love. It was a cute story but not real deep. 3 out of 5
Most Likely to Succeed by Kate Davies is the story about Kelsey who was voted Most Likely to Succeed in high school. Now it’s time for her high school reunion and she’s ashamed and embarrassed because she feels she’s done nothing with her life. Her old friend Nathan is there and while they become lovers he also shows her that taking care of your family is definitely something to be proud of. You can read my review here. 3.75 out of 5
Let it Be Me by Kate Noble is about Bridget who is an accomplished pianist who would like nothing more than to study with composer Vincenzo Carpenini. After he fails to show in England as she was told she talks her family into a vacation in Venice and goes looking for him. She ends up as his student but only because he’s in a competition to save his own skin. His companion, Oliver Merrick, thinks more of Bridget than he does the music and they end up falling in love. This was a great book. I loved the descriptions of the music and what it portrayed and how it made a person feel. Just a great story. 4 out of 5 (read for Book Binge)
My next read was Only Lycans Need Apply by Michele Bardsley. This is the story of Moira who is an archaeologist and has almost discovered the resting place of ancient vampires. She’s interrupted in her dig by Lycans and vampires both good and bad who want what’s in the tomb. Moira finds out she’s a different being than she thought and only she can open the tomb, with help from Lycan, Drake. I found this story to be entertaining and I liked the whole good vs. bad vampire and the adventure of opening the tomb but I thought the romance itself wasn’t much. It was kind of meeting, attraction, sex then love. It happened way to fast, imho and the characters really knew nothing about the other at all. A bit frustrating but the rest was pretty good. 3.5 out of 5 (read for Book Binge)
Casual Sex Friday by Evie Kiels was next. Ben and Calvin went out a while back and Ben was bored out of his freaking mind. Now Calvin asks Ben out every Friday and Ben has to repeatedly say an adamant no. Ben thinks he’s got Calvin figured out but when Calvin finds Ben in the park watching a live feed of people having sex on a website. Calvin takes over Ben’s fun from there and Ben sees that there’s a whole other side to Calvin he’d never known existed. This was another cute story with lots of sex and not too much depth…definitely entertaining. 3 out of 5
Semper Fi by Laura B. Cooper and Christopher Cooper was my next read. Hot cover, not so hot book. (I’m gonna just copy and paste what I put on Goodreads): Mattie gets drunk dialed by her boyfriend of 7 1/2 years, Travis, and since they’re in different states he asks if he can screw someone else cuz he’s horny. She says, “hell no” and he says, “we’re done.” She heads to the airport so she can fly to where he is and see him face to face. We get the impression that she’s going to just talk to him to see what’s up but later in the book we find out that she was going to break up with him. She’s stuck at the airport all night because of a storm and meets Logan who is a Marine who is on his way back to his unit after attending his father’s funeral. The two hit it off and talk for hours. Next think you know they’re kissing AND having sex behind the ticket counter at the gate (and getting caught)! Seriously! This scene was so ridiculous I just laughed. She had “heaving breasts” and “raging nipples” and when he looked at her “steam rose from his eyes.” OMG what a crack up! I was a bit perplexed by Mattie’s insistence that Travis not sleep with anyone else and then she’s goes and does it in public with a guy she just met. Double standard or what? Logan falls hard and fast for Mattie but Mattie doesn’t have a clue what’s going on in her life and can’t decide what she wants to do about the two men. The story goes on to deal with Mattie and Travis, Mattie and Logan, Mattie and her family, Logan and the memories and demons he’s dealing with, and it kind of goes off into a weird area with Logan’s dad and his kinky sex habits. It’s a story that had a great idea but it was just written oddly, imho. What started out as a fun romp tried to become too deep and it just didn’t work. 2 out of 5
The Duke’s Tattoo by Miranda Davis is the story of Prudence who was banished by her brother after an incident with the Duke of Ainsworth. Nine years later and she has the man kidnapped, drugged and tattooed but then discovers it’s not the right Duke of Ainsworth. Jem, the current duke wants to get back at the person who did this but when he figures out who it is and then meets her he wants something completely different – her, permanently. But Prudence is an independent woman and isn’t falling into Jem’s arms. The story was cute and I loved the humor and witty banter that Jem and Prudence had going but imho things were dragged out way too much and I found myself wanting things to move along. Prudence on one had was wonderful and the other so incredibly dense I wanted to shake the woman at times. In the end it was a good story and I’m glad I read it. 3 out of 5
Last for the week was Feral Sins by Suzanne Wright. Latent shifter Taryn Warner is the healer of her pack but treated like crap – even by her father – because of her latency. She is approached (in an unorthodox way) by Trey Coleman who wants her to act like his True Mate for 3 months so that he can build an alliance with her father’s pack in order to fight his uncle’s pack. The couple have their issues but they can’t stay away from each other in the bedroom. This doesn’t make things easy as they can be mates but each of their real True Mates died previously. The story is mostly a love story with a great number of incredibly hot sex scenes involved. We got a tortured hero in Trey and a snarky, sarcastic, smart-ass heroine in Taryn and I loved them both. Taryn was awesome. I know a lot of people don’t like the snarky bitch heroine but if done right they are wonderful. Taryn kind of reminded me of Sara Morrighan in Shelly Laurenston’s Pack Challenge (another book I love to pieces) in that she was an alpha female who was underrated and pushed aside for what is thought her handicap, but doesn’t take shit from anyone. Her snappy comebacks to Trey’s grandma (who was a bitch) were wonderful and I laughed each time. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series. 4 out of 5

I did get to go to work every day this past week which was good. My back still hurts but not nearly as bad. Still taking drugs but at least I can live a fairly normal life – yay. 🙂

Next up was A Night Like This by Julia Quinn. The second book in the Smythe-Smith series about Daniel Smythe-Smith and how he fell in love with a Governess. You can read my review here. 4.25 out of 5
Tyler by Christianna Spencer was my next read. This was a short about two guys who are on a college road trip and have a discussion about how Aiden feels that Chase is a bit vanilla in the sex department. Aiden heads out to a bar to find a guy (with Chase’s permission) and he meets Tyler. Fun ensues. This was so cute. You definitely have to keep an open mind about the whole situation to truly appreciate it all. 4 out of 5
Next up was Experimental Repeatability by Elinor Gray was a short story about 2 gay men who are best friends. One has had the hots for the other for years but has never acted on it. One night when they’re drunk they…do. I thought this was a really good story. I didn’t actually realize that Eric was gay at first so I was a bit confused by his actions but once I figured that out it all fell into place. 3.75 out of 5
Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh was next and it was a good one! This was Adria and Riaz’s romance but there was quite a bit of Sienna and Hawke as well as other previous characters in the book. The overall story arc continues and ramps things up. I really wanted more of Adria and Riaz who were dealing with some serious issues but I was satisfied in the end. 4.5 out of 5
Ninetten by AJ Mars was the story of Ezra who meets Nick while at an outdoor party in a parking lot. They take off to be alone together and one thing leads to another. Ezra is just nineteen and is a virgin. This story involves a lot of internal thought on Ezra’s part and not a whole lot of dialogue between the two men. I loved that the internal thoughts fit Ezra and his age and didn’t actually seem like an older man was stuck in a nineteen year old’s body. Good stuff. 4 out of 5
Undercover Alliance by Lilly Cain is the story of Sarina who is an humanoid alien and was scarred in a somehow. Her L’inar was damaged and she can no longer reach orgasm. This is an issue as her people use sex as stress relief and without it go insane. She is a warrior and if she can’t fight she WILL go insane. She is instructed to cover a human who is a lawyer working on the treaty between Earth and Sarina’s planet. Someone is after John but that doesn’t stop them from having a little fun in their down time. A good story that was entertaining. 3 out of 5
Lord Atwood’s Lovers by Eva Clancy was the story of Charles and Imogen who have been married for 4 months. They have a very different type of relationship but are totally in love. Charles is still in love with his previous lover though. I’ll review this this week so stay posted.
The Wary Widow by Jerrica Knight-Catania was the story about Chloe who heads to London from Essex to chaperone her cousin in her season. Even though Chloe is only 19 she is a widow. Chloe, unfortunately finds herself falling in love with her cousin’s betrothed, Andrew, and he falls in love with her as well. Parts of this story are so very sweet and a bit heartbreaking but there were others that I just couldn’t go for. Like Andrew and his identical twin Michael trading places to fool the cousin, Elizabeth, so that Andrew can spend time with Chloe. Andrew doesn’t want to break it off with Elizabeth because he doesn’t want to ruin her reputation but will sleep with Chloe. IDK, I was very torn with the story. 3 out of 5
Ambush by Clare London was a very cute short story about the characters from True Colors. Zeke heads to Miles’s office and ambushes him with a little sex. It’s very hot and a great little story. 3.5 out of 5
Angels and Airhead by Anne Brooke was a short about Ricky who has had feelings for his friend Jez for forever but felt that Jez was out of his league and too high class for Ricky. Ricky is visited by his guardian angel and shown that maybe Ricky should look things a little differently. Very short but cute. 3 out of 5
Last for the week was Payback by Clare London – yet another story involving the True Colors characters. Miles is getting a little payback with Zeke for Zeke’s little ambush in his office. Another hot little short that was worth the read. 3.5 out of 5
Visiting isn’t a science, at least not for me. It’s just what I do. Not that I mind, though. It’s not a bad thing, you understand, to find yourself in someone else’s body, stepping into a hot shower stark-naked and sporting a decent-sized morning wood.
Ace is a tourist. A spirit who spends his time visiting the lives of others for entertainment and sexual satisfaction. He can’t make anyone do anything they aren’t willing to do-but he is able to push them to their personal limits.
He’s currently visiting Dan and his lover, Ricky-a couple struggling with jealousy and words left unsaid. Emboldened by Ace, Dan becomes more sexually aggressive, a pleasant surprise for Ricky. But when an abusive ex threatens their newfound happiness, how far will Ace want to get involved? Will his fascination with the couple’s sexual games tempt him to protect them from a very real physical danger?
Ace is a spirit who jumps from body to body just to have fun and have sex. What more could a spirit want? But one day he jumps into Dan and he likes being there. Ace likes to delve deep into the body he’s in in order to bring out things in their personalities that they may be afraid to show at times. With Dan it’s a bit of the dominant in him and Ace likes that, but soon Dan seems to be a bit of a downer. You see Dan’s worried about his relationship with his boyfriend Ricky and Ace just wants happy, happy all the time. Ace decides that he’ll jump into Ricky and succeeds.
Ricky is a bit more free-spirited that Dan is but Ricky has his issues as well. You see, Ricky was in a relationship with a man, Calder, who tried to control every aspect of his life. You know one of those horrible people that not only tells you what you should wear or eat or think and when you don’t do what they say, they degrade you until you feel that the other person is the only one who truly knows what’s what? shudders Those type of people just freak me right out! Eventually Ricky got up the nerve to leave Calder but Calder is seriously delusional and can’t fathom that anyone would want to leave his great self. He calls Ricky constantly and unfortunately Ricky answers quite a bit. When Ricky finally tries to put his foot down Calder doesn’t take it well and takes matters into his own hands. But where does that leave Dan and Ricky.
In true Clare London style she sucked me in and didn’t let go until the last word of the book. I started the book and didn’t want to put it down until I was done.
The premise of the book was very different from anything I’d read before and it was great being able to see Dan and Ricky from the inside, but from someone else’s point of view, if that makes sense.
Ricky had gotten himself into a bad situation with Calder and it irked me that he didn’t trust in Dan or in their connection more and come clean about everything with Calder. I really felt bad for Dan at times but he was willing to wait until Ricky got his shit together and that made me like Dan even more.
I did get a bit confused at times because the story is told from Ace’s point of view and when the person that he was “in” was talking I just never knew if it was Ace talking, or if it was Dan, or Ricky. Were these really the person’s words that they were saying, from deep down where Ace was dragging them out? Or was it Ace who was saying them in that person’s stead? I think I would have liked to have more clarity with that in the end.
Overall, however, I really liked the book. Clare’s writing is always wonderful and I come away from one of her books with a smile on my face every time. What can be better than that?
At work it was not only monthly newsletter time but it was also time for the Annual Meeting and haranguing people to get their reports in, etc and then having to organize it all really isn’t my idea of a good time. Thank heavens it only happens once a year! lol
On top of that my oldest had a really rough week with her math teacher and so it was emotionally charged at home. *sigh* Even Calgon couldn’t take me away. 🙂 Hopefully this will be a better week for her.
Oh, and she went to spend the night at a friends house and came home with her hair 5 inches shorter! Now I’ve been wanting her to get her hair cut because it’s super thick and really heavy and gets into a tangled mess but she kept telling me NO! But even so, don’t you think the friend’s mom who cut it would have had my daughter ASK me before she took scissors to hair? I mean, really? I found that incredibly presumptuous. It looks adorable and was exactly what I wanted her to do – and I know my daughter, I’m sure she didn’t even think to call me because that’s just how she is…and she’s heard me tell her to get her hair cut – but still! I know I shouldn’t have an issue with it since she obviously accomplished what I could not but it just irks me. I know, I’m strange. lol

So on to why we’re all here…here’s what I read this past week:
I started off my week with The Wicked Wickerly by Patricia Rice. I didn’t like the characters in this one and frankly the story was starting to grate on my nerves after only 30 pages. I’m not sure I can even call this a DNF because I only read 60 pages but I just couldn’t get any further than that but I’m gonna. DNF
My Tracy’s TBR challenge book for the week was A Brush Of Wings edited by Anne Regan. This is a Dreamspinner Press anthology and it was a good one. There were all different types of stories having to do with angels in some way – whether it’s a real angel, a guardian angel or just someone you think is an angel. Darned good. 4 out of 5
These Things Hidden by Heather Gudenkauf was my next read. This was the story of 4 women whose live get interwoven by 1 small boys life and it’s not all fun and games, lemme tell ya. My review will post tomorrow. 3.75 out of 5
Werewolf Me by Amarinda Jones was a book that I read for the Book Binge. Well, I didn’t actually get all the way through it. 60 pages is apparently the magic number for when I stop reading a book – only this book was only 147 pages. I didn’t like the characters all that well. Everything seemed over-dramatized and when the guy said I Love You and he’d just learned the girls name I was done. The Lady Most Likely…: A Novel in Three Parts by Julia Quinn, Eloisa James and Connie Brockway. This was the story of an Earl who enlists his sister to make a list of eligible women who he can marry. He’s 28 but has decided that it’s time to have an heir. The sister decides to have a house party since it’s after the season and invites the women on her list as well as other women and eligible bachelors. The story covers the women on the list as their find their loves – but is it the earl? Just an adorable book. I really liked all three stories and thought they were connected quite well. 4 out of 5
The Tourist by Clare London was next. Clare was nice enough to send me this lovely book that comes out on Feb. 28th. The story is about a spirit, Ace, who jumps to different bodies in order to have fun and mostly, sex. But on one jump he jumps into a man, Dan, who is in a relationship with Ricky. Ricky has issues with his ex…who doesn’t really think of Ricky as an ex. Ace jumps from Dan to Ricky and for once stays and gets to know the men. I’ll be posting my review of this a little later this month. Great story. 4.25 out of 5
Next up was Dangerous Secrets by Katie Reus. This is the story of Izzy who is living in Florida and working as a bartender. She’s got the hots for Adam who works at the bar too but Adam is working there to watch over Izzy for her father who is a wealthy businessman. There’s a madman on the loose and Adam is determined to keep Izzy safe. A really great read – my review will post on The Book Binge on the 4th. 4.25 out of 5
I decided to read Trusted Bond by Mary Calmes but realized it’s been a little over a year since I read Change of Heart which is the first book in the storyline. I decided to re-read Change of Heart first and it was just as good a read this time as it was the last. Jin who is a werepather, but a very rare type, who was kicked out of his tribe for not only being a reah but also because he was gay. His best friend Crane left the tribe with him and they’ve been moving from town to town ever since. He ends up meeting Logan Church who ends up being his mate. Jin has a hard time dealing with the fact that Logan had not been gay before he met him and Jin has problems believing in their bond. Just a great story. 4 out of 5
Trusted Bond by Mary Calmes takes up with Jin and Logan 6 months later. Jin is having issues, again, with believing that Logan can love him as much as Jin loves Logan because of the fact that the mating bond chose them. He thinks that Logan wouldn’t have even noticed him if not for the mating bond. On top of those issues Jin gets kidnapped by an old flame that isn’t right in the head. Jin goes through some horrific things and is eventually purposely kept from Logan. It’s an action packed story and really good. 4.25 out of 5
After that I decided to catch up a bit with my yaoi manga reading. I’ve been a bad little yaoi swapper and not read the books that Kris gave me when she left LA….in Nov. I know, I know, I suck. I got a few read yesterday and will continue on this week so that the next person on the yaoi swap list can get a package from Santa. lol
First up was Your Love Sickness by Hayate Kuku started off telling the story of two foxes who guard a shrine. One is a white fox who is very high up in the fox class system and the other is a red fox who is the lowest of the low. But the white fox loves the red fox despite that. There were other stories in this book that were cute as well. 3 out of 5
Next up was Skyscrapers of Oz by Yoshino Somei. The story revolved around 2 men and 2 boys (seriously 1 looked incredibly young to me – like 12 but I think he was supposed to be older than that) whose lives are all interwoven. The two men run a business and get caught up in one of the boys lives after being given a job. I really liked the graphics in this one and the story was good as well. 4 out of 5
Next was 9th Sleep by Makoto Tateno. This is classified as yaoi manga but really there was no boy love involved. It was the story of 2 kings who are in a crazy cycle to either die and go into a sleep for 100 years while the other creates an heir who then inherits the previous kings memories. It’s pretty convoluted. But 1 king doesn’t want to either die or sleep so he keeps getting reborn into different women. The graphics were good but the story really left something to be desired imho. 2 out of 5
Last for the week was I Can’t Stop Loving You by Row Takakura. Kyouji is training as an exorcist but can’t actually see the ghosts. His boyfriend, Yu, sees the ghosts but can’t exorcise them. Yu has serious jealousy issues in this book – not helped by his cousin who keeps trying to get Kyouji for himself. It was cute and well drawn. 3 out of 5
