What Are You Reading? (193)

Rowena: It seems like every week, I’m reporting on the same story.  It’s starting to get old but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s true.  I’m not reading much and that makes me sad because I make ground on my reading goal and then I fall back even more.  I feel like I’m constantly dragging behind but I can’t help myself.  I’m just not in the mood to read.  I read one book last week and that book was Be with Me by J Lynn.  Good book but when I was finished, I watched Veronica Mars, Suits and a bunch of movies.

The other day, I started Divergent by Veronica Roth because I’m going with my book club to see it next week and I wanted to read it beforehand.  I’m still on Chapter 4.  So that’s what I’m reading.

Holly: I read parts 1-3 of The Kraken King by Meljean Brook this week, which prompted me to re-read Heart of Steel and then Tethered. If you haven’t read any of the books in the Iron Seas world yet, you really must. They’re fabulous.

Last night I read Flee by Miranda Kavi and then Crux, book 2, today. They were just ok. A lot of editing issues and plot holes, but I finished them both so that says something.

I’m still feeling weird about reading so who knows what I’ll start next.

What are you reading?

  1. I just finished listening to Cashore’s Fire, which was tremendously good. Now reading Twice Tempted by Frost. I have got to catch up with the Iron Seas books!

    • It’s been ages since I read the first book in that series, Graceling. I loved that book but I never got around to reading Fire. I’m putting it on my list.

  2. I am reading In Falling Snow by Mary-Rose MacColl – WWI historical fiction – and I am loving it. Also listening to non fiction about the events leadng up to the start of WWI.

    • Hey Marg! I haven’t heard of In Falling Snow, but it’s a WWI historical? Let me go and look it up. Thanks for stopping by!
