Julie Garwood’s New Book To Be A Contemporary?

Posted May 20, 2008 by Holly in News | 4 Comments

Julie Garwood mentioned on her website (which I hate, btw..it’s frustrating to navigate when you have an old, crappy computer like I do) that she’s busy writing her next novel, a contemporary to be released at the end of this year with Random House.

It’s going to be called Fire and Ice and she drops the hint that if you read Murder List, you’ve already met the heroine. No blurb or cover available yet.

Although I wasn’t impressed with Shadow Music, her last historical release, I was hoping she’d continue in that vein. Will we ever see another historical from Julie Garwood? Or maybe I should be asking if we’ll ever see another good historical from her?

For those of you who are interested, you can pre-order it at Amazon, though I only see it in Large Print, Audio and Abridged.

  1. When I read the title, before I read your comments, I was like, Yeah, so what, her recent historical wasn’t that good anyway. LOL And I still can’t believe she wrote a Scot with no brogue. GRRR!

  2. Rowena

I’m probably one of the few that enjoy her contemps so I’m kinda not mad that she wrote another one and dude, the heroine was in Murder List…who, who who is it?

    Oh the mystery.

  3. I haven’t read the last one yet – waiting for it to show up at the library. Very disappointed in the last few – I guess she refuses or in contracted to do these awful contemps!
